JMO, but it seemed like erik kehoe was a little annoyed that canard was doing so well, especially taking points from davi; not that trey should have just moved out of the way, but i see his point. canard isn't racing for a championship; points and podiums mean real money to riders and while its great that he's doing well, i can't see how he's doing himself any favors. just sounds like he pissed off his hopeful future boss. my money's on that they're not gonna let anymore 250 guys moonlight in the 450 class next year.

Beating Kdub by a wheel after that long battle was badass, and kudos to him for charging all the way to the wire. Thats racing! You dont line up and literally risk your neck to let off at the last second. If I was a team owner Id be interested in hiring that kid, he wants it !

That's just rediculous. Team managers don't care which one of their bikes are on the podium. It would be one thing if DM was in the title hunt but he's not.

just like tedesco should have been after unadilla after cooper passed him? or the entire class should have been embarrassed after blake baggett waxed them last week? some days, guys get beat. Once the gate drops its full-out til the checkers or take yer shit home. If Trey is faster or wants it more than Kdub, he should go and take it. He didnt throw any cheap take out moves or cheesey block passes, he rode hard, aggressive and didnt let the veterans intimidate him. He earned everything he got this year and did it with class.

I agree with everything you posted... just thought the way he "podiumed" was weak, looked like KW got held up, and Trey ran it up there like a novice to get third.

Which might have a little more spectacular if he was even racing for points... Did you notice KW wouldn't even look over... lol.

maybe they do when DM is fourth in points and he needs every available point to finish in the top three... putting factory honda in the top three. trey canard is not a factory honda rider for next year (yet, if at all). for all they know he might be talking to a competitor right now. trey canard's results don't mean shit to erik kehoe longterm, at least until he's on contract. his budget and reputation aren't measured on a moonlighter.

That was the plan all along, no matter how he did. He was supposed to go back before the break and get some testing done on the 250 for the last supercross races and outdoors.

C class move? Come on... I'm a huge fan of both Windham and Trey, but that was racin. Windham didn't get held up. The guy infront of him was far enough ahead that he made no difference. Besides, he should have squared the corner and went around him while taking Trey's line at the same time. I just don't think he knew Trey was that close. It's racin!

LOL! your reasoning is ridiculous... that was far from a "c class" move. It looked to me like it was a hard charge for 20 laps, and taking advantage of a podium position when the opportunity was there.

You think anyone else wouldn't have taken advantage of Windhams "cruising" to the checkers? Trey's a charger. Trey does what true, "give it your all" racers do...charge 'til the checkered flag. I can promise you, Kehoe(and other team managers)have taken notice.(and...according to Emigs statement on Speed, talks have already begun)
Trey Canard will be a hot commodity next year. And...and as a side benefit...he just happens to be a fantastic person, corporate representative off the track. Companys go nuts after riders like this young man. He's another Ryan Dungey...only, Trey posseses what I feel like Dungey could benefit from...more aggression.
Ryan really needs to drop the "nice guy" thing on that track.
But what do I know...

Trey Canard is exactly what SX needs.
I would fire everybody else and put Trey on a 450 for outdoors if I ran Team Honda. Then I would hire Baggett to replace Trey on the 250's.

No choke, kid is getting valuable experience racing the 450 class, i think he knows what to expect next year. All he needs is more seat time on that 450.

I thought Trey gave DM and KW much more room than they gave him.

KW ran Trey into the tuff blocks after the whoops. It's freaking racing guys.... and Trey wasn't NEAR as aggressive as he could have been. I thought he could have made a very aggressive pass on DM last week too, for 2nd.

I'm happy for Trey, he rode outstanding. Won fair and square.
I just hate the ride 1/2 the season shit. Same when riders (mc, rc) ride select events and screw up the entire points race...potentially....just pisses me off.

Being a huge KW fan, it pained me to see him lose it by a wheel, but I can't take anything away from the youngster. good move. the little shit.
