Holy moly watching the Pulp show. Steve and Nicoletti and the 2 other dudes shrugged when a caller mentioned a smaller contact patch might help slow the bikes down. Doesnt the topic come up as they discuss tire pressure? I cant believe 2 professional racers and 2 professional mechanics never heard the term before.
So you’re saying you’re shocked that people involved in a sport that gets covered by people that go to work in cargo shorts and logo tees that can barely get their geds don’t know what contact patch on a tire is?

I tried boxing for MX training a decade ago..it was a first lesson free..dude..it was run by a pro Women boxer , and basically she uses us as sparing bait for her legit at the gym / ring program
I stuck around for about 5 weeks and the two things I learned...
