NOT Jett’s fault. Whoever has the wheel controls the line. Jett was already going in the correct direction. If Jett wasn’t there, Barcia was going over the berm. No way in hell he was making that corner at that speed.

Furthermore, Jett had been cutting down there ALL night. If Barcia had gone back to his rig and studied film between races like all the top guys do, he would have known that.

The correct direction? He literally was turned and exiting the corner before he even got to the apex. People go up the inside of a corner like Barcia did all the time. I keep seeing people say Barcia was going the wrong direction on the track when what actually happened is exactly the opposite.

I'm not the biggest Jett fan, and I guess something like this is "good" for the series by making the points tighter (unless Jett is injured, then it's obviously bad for the series). He definitely turned down pretty early, and we all know how risky that can be at the beginning of a race. Definitely wasn't the smartest move, especially with two of the most aggressive riders (to put it nicely) in the field behind him.

However, Barcia is the common denominator in so many takeouts over the past decade plus, and we all know that. Not many other riders in the class would've entered that corner the way he did. I assign the majority of the blame to him, just because it's like shit dude, why can't you ever go more than like a half-season without committing one of the most diabolical takeouts you'll see?

These guys are pros and can put the bike wherever they want. If they can’t chances are they are not gonna last or do in intentional either for press, controversy, or even may be told/paid to do so like to tighten the points.  If they really take everyone out I am surprised they’d stay in the sport with the officials or have any fans.  To call someone “Bam Bam” means we are accepting a rider running into another not with clean passes and may act to injure them.  If that’s ok with the fans then maybe the sport has a problem and not single incidents of turning down or t-boning accident or not.

It’s no accident to call yourself “Bam Bam” and what if that hit on Jett ended his career like they said happened to Stewart?

IMG 6925Apparently you can’t see very well. Might want to check the slow mo stills again. Barcia is over halfway in to the turn and he hasn’t even thought about turning yet. You can see the tough blocks are 10 feet behind him.  🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

If there was a slight bit of contact or even hard contact I'd put it at 60/40 Barcia's fault! (edit: but 100% racing incident) Yeah yeah shouldn't turn down and all that but they were comin off a flat straight so the rider behind has options to avoid a rider doing it (the difference for me in the Dungey Stewart collision was Dunge was in the air when Stewart started to turn down)

but man he hit faaaarken hard and he's still braking so hard his back wheel is off the ground.. I normally roll my eyes at the 'he wasn't gonna make the turn' comments but dude was gonna go REAL high if Jett wasn't there, which obviously suggests Barcia made the mistake..

Barcia is almost 100 points off of the championship and the leader who is Jett so unless he comes out on social media or Dr. Phil begging for forgiveness claiming his e-bike throttle stuck wide open we shouldn’t be so quick to forgive and forget like Jett is.  We knew they weren’t gonna make it easy on him but a full speed attack should have some kind of penalty.  Ricky said they know who they are racing and can see that yellow number plate.

The funny part for me was how all these racers got docked positions when they could barely see the red cross flag waving and Friese was off the track already but the most blatant act to injure someone of the season had no conment except from Ricky as a hard collision or us claimed as foolish bench racers of the sport probably with more viewership time than the teams and they should come on here to see what the majority thinks.

Barcia didn’t belong anywhere near Jett in any turn 100 points down.  I wonder if any so called real expert during the week who have their podcasts will come out and tell the AMA something went wrong.

Show me one time in history where a rider has not made the corner without some type of outside factor like he was crashing

Oh Barcia was gonna make the corner, but not on the racing line, not on an attack line, or even a defensive line. The line he took wasn’t going to stop Friese cutting inside either (which he did), so what the hell was he doing? I’d like to hear what Barcia has to say.

Jett turning in 40% into the corner on the first lap, he has almost 15 feet to the right of him could have rode the berm and would have been fine even Hunter had 3 feet more to the right. Just like last weekend seems like a lack of patience and situational awareness.

Jett was in a racing line, albeit not a wise move that early in a race.
But turn down, or no turn down, I still don’t get what Barcia was doing there?

Barcia was never making that turn regardless of where Jett cut down. We have over a decade of evidence to know who Barcia is. Got people examining zapruder film trying to figure out what barcia was thinking when he was simply using Jett as a backstop. Aint that hard fellas.

Sad part is we are still a Barcia bam, i mean fan.

If Jett was acting a little too hasty to try an inside line with 2 riders in berms above him he certainly learned a quick lesson about the term “turn down”.

If Webb cuts corners all the time how come it never happens to him?  Jett swung way wide and then turned into the flat corner with him saying that is his one weakness is flat cornering.  Webb prrobably cuts down low and tight but doesn’t give people all that room to take him out.

In my opinion it seemed more obvious for “Bashra” to do it in the last moto and get away with it since Jett didn’t lose major points and give the series lead to Webb which would have made people think it is more unfair.  Now we get to see if Jett can hold onto the lead.

It just seemed odd to me that after the race Jett went over to where the crash happened like he was waiting for Justin who came to join him and his brother and then they had this long friendly chat in front of the crowd.  Even if it was by accident I would have been going back to the rig or Alpinestars truck to get checked out since he hit his head and was then holding his arm riding back.  Jett’s leg was also out of the way ahead of time to not get hit in the crash.  I am not convinced every crash is just random especially from Barcia to cause something debatable.  A long ways off from Lawrence and Anderson’s after-race incident now patting backs and thumbs ups.  Neither of them made any statement either.

I wish i had seen the nbc after show with them explaining how Jett swung wide because I agree with that but with Barcia having so many T-bones in the past I was pretty convinced riders don’t come together like that and he was headed straight for Jett really fast and at a weird angle.  I was trying to avoid a faster rider once and it happened so quick that he was coming from the side we almost collided and it was Hunter who said how quick things can happen on the track even if we watch it in slow motion.

Anywhere between the tuff blocks is where the lappers ride to get out of the line the front guys are racing on.
But you knew that didn’t you…..

Oh Barcia was gonna make the corner, but not on the racing line, not on an attack line, or even a defensive line. The line he took wasn’t going to stop Friese cutting inside either (which he did), so what the hell was he doing? I’d like to hear what Barcia has to say.

but not on the racing line

Anywhere between the tuff blocks is where the lappers ride to get out of the line the front guys are racing on.
But you knew that didn’t you…..

The best passes on the first laps supposedly come at the tuff blocks when everyone else is riding bunched up in the middle and to stay out of  their trouble.  That’s where Jett was going on the inside.
