Per GateDrop.com, Roan is going to HRC Honda! That's a big move. Fernandez just had ACL surgery which more than likely means he's out for most or all of the season so Van de Moosdijk is a great fill-in.

Henri Jacobi talked about it in his podcast. Henri is a former teammate of Roan's and mentioned that the information comes from reliable sources. It was more or less about Roan not really following the training program of his coach (Kevin Strijbos I think?) and Fantic. Ultimately, it seems that Roan manipulated or falsified training data and then sent it to his coach, and that's how it got exposed. They apparently wanted to give him another chance and demanded that he go to the gym to train there. The team owner (Louis Vosters) reportedly secretly installed a surveillance camera to see if Roan was really training. In the footage, it seems that Roan was just playing on his phone instead of training. And I guess that was the final straw. As to how true this is, I don't know; I only heard it from Jacobi's podcast. There are certainly always two sides to such a story.
The one thing about this that doesn't make sense is that he was trained by Marc de Reuver during the F&H Kawasaki years. Marc doesn't deal with this kind of BS, and this kind of mentality surely would've been there already in the F&H days?
I agree, so it is all very odd if you ask me.

If I remember correctly, things didn't exactly end well between Roan and F&H.
Bogers to Fantic is official.
i've spoken with a factory rider who said his factory team left the diet and physical training as a responsibility of him. This rider said his emx team would not give him that freedom but was very strict and basically present at all training.
I'm under the impression Marc is also involved/present at the majority of all the work the riders do, so i can imagine Roan not having that kind of freedom at F&H.
Well he did finish his contract with them, he just moved to Husqvarna which was an upgrade for him. I don't know if there were issues, but if there were it certainly wasnt comparable to his Fantic ending.
Well, sounds correct. Marc is there at every training. They went to our local track multiple times and he really makes sure the guys are training well. He made the three F&H suffer those days - Vd Moosdijk, Jacobi, Sterry. The results were there though. Roan won the EMX championship and Jacobi and sterry went from Top 10's to Top 3's
You have to put it like this. Wilvo (Louis Vosters) is known for supporting his riders multiple seasons, even if they don't do as well as they hoped due to injuries or other issues. He is in the paddock for +15 years as a team owner and sponsor. Why do guys like Coldenhoff always have rides (besides his good results)? Because he is a true professional and as a team owner you know that he will give you everything that is in the tank. Joel Smets has stated multiple times that he has never seen a professional athlete like Glenn. Thats why for example Tim Mathys from Standing Construct was such a fan of him.
Moosdijk was really thinking he will do great in MXGP by skipping workout team wanted him to do or know better what to do? He is lucky to have HRC fill in ride but if that doesnt work great.. he wont have many options next year and that could end of his mxgp career.
