Well apparently, the SX events where good race prep for Prado. I guess nothing beats gate drops. Unreal weekend for him. Kind of a snooze fest in the MXGP class compared to the Seattle SX but I think the track had a lot to do with it. Still can't wrap my head around him coming here next year on Kawasaki and Monster and Red Bull/KTM group letting him go. Still a long way to go and the brutal sand tracks are coming up but he's off to a good start.
Last year championship and knowing Supercross is his future has taken a lot of weight of his shoulders, he's on a mission to leave MXGP with the #1 plate.
Kawasaki had made a really good choice signing him, I think he's one of the few guys that at least has the pace to run with Jett outdoors, Supercross will be hard to máster but he did pretty good in the first 4 races, and the Kawasaki will suit him better than the KTM Platform, and he will be Kawasaki #1 guy in a few years, unlike KTM where Chase is their main rider for the years to come.
I don’t think Prado was giving SX his 100% effort so there is more on tap.
Its very early in the year so is the Kawasaki deal just a rumor or official ?
really really hope that kawasaki deal is a done deal.
I think it’s unofficially official, kind of like when Chase Sexton went to KTM.

The energy drink side of the deal is what is interesting, because its all about promotions and content. As a Red Bull athlete he is probably creating content for the brand every day of the week, and they will own that content even after he leaves the brand. So why would a rival energy drink company like Monster want to sign another brand ambassador, knowing all that Red Bull content is out there?
For sure, sounds like it's as 'official' as anything gets while the existing contract is still in force, looking forward to seeing him on the KX 👌
Great point.
He mentioned several times that he just wanted some experience but priority #1 was defending his title and not getting injured. It's hard to battle inside the top 10 when you're riding conservatively like that. He definitely has the talent though to take it up another level, especially now that he has some experience and will likely have months to prepare.
The way he would move over and let the contenders by so easy told me he was not racing at his full potential. He knew they had a job to do and did not want to interfere with it.
GASGAS put a lot of effort and expenses into bringing him here so thats why I wonder if the Kawasaki deal is done.
Think about the resigning clause thats probably in his current GG contract.
Gasgas has been teasing something, and it looked like a blurred out picture of a Factory Edition bike. That doesn't make any sense because those are already released unless this is the official media release. Could it be 2025 livery for Prado in the US?
For the same reason Kawasaki signed Prado from GasGas knowing all those past races were on a GasGas. You can't change the past.
All his new content will be Monster going forward.
