The word "HATE".......

Is not a word i use very often.....but I fuggin' HATE Tony A.! There are so many things about his training program that he puts Mike through that is just plain wrong!

I never saw Stewart's Dad , RC's dad , McGraths dad..........or any other champions dad put their kid through that kind of bullshit!

I partially blame Mike himself for not standing up to Tony and just telling him to STFU and finding himself a trainer that actually knows what he's doing.....

Obviously Tony just can't come to grips with the fact that you can scream all you want at your kids......it isn't going to help the overall out come.

Every episode i watch of this show....makes me feel more and more sorry for Mike. The kid "Wants" it!.......there is no argument there , but Tony needs to leave the program.

Tony Alessi needs help, and his kids will probably need similar help someday, as well. I feel the worst for Jeff, in some ways. Other times I feel worse for Mike, because he has to deal with Tony so much more.

"We're as fast as Jeff." What does that say about playing favorites with your 2 sons?!

Damn, Mike's girl was cute. I'm sure that's why he's able to put up with it all.

No wonder Jeff doesnt give it the effort Mike does, he doesnt want to be put through what his big brother goes through....

Mike doesnt have a chance to think for himself, look on the lake, he has to engague his father for direction. Its not Mikes fault, his dad seems to of forced his superior direction on what mike is trying to figure out every time...

There is a saying, if you were raised in a barn, you dont notice the awefull smell anymore... This is where Mike and Jeff are, they dont even notice, they think its normal.

Im not saying Tony didnt sacrafice for the family, im just saying so did Big Rick and Big James and they as the bible says, look to edify and build up daily...

It bothers me when the parent wants it worse than the kid, they're always willing to push the kid beyond their limits. It always ends the same, the kid gets hurt and hates the parent, and the parent gets mad and looks like an asshole.
We have one on our kids basketball team, he's a real jewel.

I have never understood the father/son thing in SX/MX. I understand a family gives up a lot to get a kid to the pros, but once there, let the pros take over, guys like DeCoster and Stanton. Get a professional trainer. Let the team build the bike.

In most professions peoples dads don't go to work with them everyday.

As fit as Mike obviously was last season, what sort of trainer thinks he was gonna lose substantial endurance actually resting for those two weeks...

I can't see the relevance of the kayaking at all... I mean if he had have been down at the boozer for two weeks straight he might have lost some fitness... but really, kayaking?

Knee rehab, yes, kayaking, no...

I'm probably in the minority here, but I lost alot of respect for Mike after watching this. Sure Tony is a complete asshat, but Mike is a MAN now or at least he should be. And he is still putting up with Daddy's BS like he is a 13 year old boy getting ready for Loretta's.

And we all know women, and there is no way his GF has any respect for him as a MAN either. I love Mike's attitude and determination, but he has to cut his losses and move on...on his own. Give Tony a consulting gig, but it's time for Mikey to be his own MAN. His future depends on it.
