Ktm 2023 onwards triple clamps

Can anyone confirm for sure if older Ktm triple clamps fit the 2023 onwards frame sx/sxf? Xtrig/wp clamps

I am using '06 triples w/stem on my '24 and the 24's are on my '06.

Yes, you just need to use the old upper bearing seal assembly (rubber seal, steel cup, and o-ring) in place of the new seal assembly. The new seal is thicker, so they made the new top clamp thinner to accommodate. Your old clamp is thicker, so you need the older, thinner, seal.

Yup, I had to use an 1/8" spacer under the top clamp for the '24 onto the '06, as to keep the cap bolt from bottoming at the base of the stem threads. Used a scavenged spacer from a hard drive I destroyed yrs ago.

BTW, I barley got the '24 upper seal onto the '06 stem.

On a somewhat related note I have a set of Luxon Fatbar36 bar mounts. What combination of hardware should I use to mount them to a 2023 Ktm factory split triple clamp? I used the hardware that came with it (bought used) which I think is the previous gen KTM hardware but it felt like it bottomed out so I am not sure if the rubber cones are doing anything.

It should bolt right up, assuming you have everything that was needed. No design changes between the old and new clamps on the cone interface aside from a flange around the top cone that doesn't do anything.

When I tighten the bolts that go through the triple clamps it feels like metal bottoming out. I guess I expect it to feel more rubbery without ever hitting metal to metal.

It's supposed to bottom metal to metal; everything tightens down against itself, sandwiching the cones between the mounts and the clamps.

If they're all assembled correctly, they should feel identical to stock. We used the stock 2022 geometry for the cone interface and used stock KTM cones. If it feels different than stock, then something is probably wrong. Send us an email with photos if so. You can also download instructions from our website.

I was wondering about this same scenario. I have Luxon top bar mount from my 22 and installed on my 24 but the top flange had me thinking it was not correct….

The actual cone portion is identical. They machined a rectangular pocket into the new clamps and added a flange to the new top cone to match. You can run the old cone without issue, and if you want to fill the gap in the new clamps, you can just run the new top cone. It doesn't affect function one way or the other, though.
