I don't buy that its just the bike.  The bike isn't that much different than the KTM that AP and Sexton are riding, and they seem to be doing well enough to be in the top 5 in a tight points battle.  AP looks better than he ever has.  I could see CC not gelling with it being an issue, but that doesn't mean the bike is bad.

I believe it's mostly a mental thing.

X2. I mean, heck it’s Factory Husqvarna/KTM. What an awesome ride. Head scratching

Perhaps you are right, but I see it in another light. Not just Craig, but Stewart, Barcia, and Sexton are not doing as well as they did last year. Did they all forget how to ride? So far this year Farres, Sexton, and Barcia got injured on the bike that we know of. Webb has certainly been vocal about the programs reluctance to set up the bikes for riders, and how Aldon's program was too rigid. I know at my piss poor riding level changes to my bike's set up bother me, I cannot imagine how sensitive riders at their level are.

Unpopular opinion: but him and Mookie made big career mistakes in signing with Husky. Two of the best whoop riders in the world sign to ride bikes that are known as not being good in the whoops. The Husky isn't a bad bike, Jason Anderson and Zacho proved they are championship capable bikes. They are just not a good fit for those two.

Big careers mistakes?  Where would would they have gone, they signed with Husky because they had to not because it was their first choice...

Craig could’ve stayed with star another year and I don’t believe that husky was the only offer Malcom had after his good year with Star Yamaha. I don’t think they signed with husky because they “had” too. Malcom’s been hurt a lot and Craig’s a head case.

Malcolm didn't have any other offers (from factory teams at least), he was pretty much dropped from Star after 2021, even though he did pretty well.  And Craig left Star because in order to get a 450 on an A team he would've had to win another SX championship, and I'm not sure he would have with how the Lawrence bros rode last year.  If he didn't win another SX championship he wouldn't even have gotten a ride with Husky, so he jumped at the contract while he had the opportunity.

I don't think hes getting along with Aldons program, he looked about like Roczen pretty muscular but still lean until he got on Aldons program now he looks super super lean. Obviously works for some guys but not for others, AP is tiny but it seems to be working for him.

He also had surgery on that elbow 3 damn times that has got to be rough, I can see him getting on a Phoenix Honda type team next year with not much pressure and being able to run his own program and doing better than he ever did on Husky.

I don't think AP body type is natural for him at all. He is more Marchbanks than Musquin.

As bad as Roczens was and the complications he has where he broke his as far as fixing it is pretty straight forward. Craig broke a bunch of those tiny weird bones in your elbow and there is really no way to fix some of that, they ended up leaving a piece of elbow bones out basically.

I’m more of the opinion that the change of management over at husky is probably the underlying problem

Whatever the problem, I cannot imagine top brass at husky is happy with the entire team as a whole this year

That #27 Husky is one of only a couple of bikes to straight up pass the #18 Honda this year. I think if he stays out of trouble he can run up front. But damn he keeps getting caught up in other peoples messes.

Not sure about CC though, he just looks like he's struggling to push, definitely lost that fire he had.

Are some of you seriously trying to compare CC’s whoop speed on a light 250f on freshly prepped whoops vrs handling a 450 in whoops that are beat to death in a 450 main??

2 different animals. Watch the 250s blitz until a couple laps from the end when the risk vrs reward drastically changes.

What's the status for CC?

The team doesn’t have a time table for his return according to racerx who’s and who’s out for Daytona.

Malcolm had an offer to stay with Star but it was supercross only.  Rockstar Husqvarna was his chance to break out and now he is pretty much number 1 guy on the team.  If he stayed with star he be number 3 guy.  Which probably wouldn’t be the best for his career.

Just the fact that there are dozen guys faster than CC on a daily basis. Time for vet class CC. Young men need a shot at the championship. This year, was some progress (Jett, Hunter, Cooper all moving up), expect at least 3-4 guys moving up 2025. Another 3-4 in 2026.

What 3-4 guys are you seeing moving up in 2025? Doesn't look like a single guy will be forced to move up in 2025 as there are no regional champions in the class right now. The rules for the 250 class are in favor of keeping guys down now. I don't expect to see 3-4 guys moving up into factory rides every single year.

I think even RJ's current contract is for 250's in 2025.

Why not? Three, four years is plenty in the 250 class. Time to move up to Mens class by age 22. Remember Bradshaw, Bayle hung up leathers at 23. Marty Smith was done at 25. As for riders. Hampshire, Macadoo, Forkner (if he comes back from that crash), Smith,

I'm talking out my ass too but I could see Anstie slide into Wilson's spot. Not moving up but new to the class will be Prado.
