So! I ordered a new truck, not committed to buy, but I am buying something. Of the Trucks below, what would you choose. The Truck looks exactly like it does in the photo, so I need your opinion, so I don't make a mistake and get laughed at when I show up at the track. When it shows up and if I buy it, I'll post a pic.
2024 Toyota Trailhunter Gas
2024 Ford F350 Diesel

2024 Dodge ram laramie
2024 Chevrolet 2500 ZR2 Bison Diesel

2024 Nissan Titan gas
2024 Toyota Tundra TRD PRO Gas
Tesla Cybertruck Electric

Do yourself a favor and get a Raptor. 16 inches of suspension travel. Soaks up whoops at 70 mph. Drives like a Rolls Royce on the pavement. 450 HP stock (mine has 520 with a tune) and the interior is a plush and luxurious as they come. You can adjust your suspension settings, steering wheel sensitivity and exhaust note by the press of a button (amongst a million other cool features).
Hands down the best truck on the market right now, especially for someone that rides moto.
Only downside is your towing capacity is reduced to 8,200 lbs because of the soft suspension.
Worth considering, these trucks are so damn fun.
Please tell me you didn’t order the Cybertruck or the Nissan.
tacoma would save tons of money that could be used for more bikes!
Nothing holds value like a Toyota, if that’s a consideration
Why a truck, why not a moto van?

Why do I feel like this is a bit of a ruse?
And don't worry, you're gonna get laughed at, no matter what - it's what we do!
I agree, those Raptors are super cool and I might still go and look at them. There was a reason, I didn't consider or put it on this list, but nothing bad, just didn't fit a criteria I was looking for, but I might be able to overlook that. I looked at a new Shelby Truck that had 750HP up in Kamloops Canada, seemed unreasonable, but I think that's what drew me to it.
Strictly fron that list, The ford, without a doubt.. Fit and finish is bettee than the rest and the motors the best of what you listed..
But...
Depending on what you tow, if less than 10k, i suggest a loaded f150 with a 6.5' bed, towing mirrors, and max tow 3.5 Ecoboost. Its a mini diesel n the long bed n tow mirrors make it feel like a big truck but gets pretty good mpg.
Then when youre not towing n just going riding, buy a tall long van. No unloading when u get home late. Bikes out of the weather. Place to rest if you need to.
Of the trucks I drove, one in particular was so nice to drive and the service perks and warranty incentives gave me a lot of peace of mind.
I would really recommend driving one, you’ve gotta put your butt in the seat and experience it.
What sold me: going riding with a buddy, bikes are in the back of his Raptor. We go deep in the desert on whooped out ATV/SxS trail going 30-40 mph and the bikes are barely moving in the back, suspension soaking it up like nothing.
They are extremely quiet and smooth on the road and have a crazy amount of features. More features you can unlock using ForScan (3rd party computer program that allows you to make adjustments and run diagnostics on your truck)
I feel you really get your moneys worth with these trucks. So damn fun.
VAN
Well! luckily I didn't order the Titan
That Trailhunter looks like open ass.
ps My Tundra is worth the same now as when I bought it 10 years ago 🤷♂️
I love the Ford but I’ve had a lot of issues with my 21. Total loss of power stepping on the accelerator felt like hitting the jakes that happened with less than 2k miles. Multiple def faults, gears in the folding mirrors exploding, module for the seat failing, tailgate fault, weatherstripping coming up on top of the cab. Seems like a few other things I can’t remember honestly I’ve never had so many rental cars in my life until I got it. Just clicked 50k miles last weekend.
My late model Tundra gets 10.5 mpg regardless of what I am doing with it and my late model Tacoma gets 15 mpg doing the same. If I was you, I'd consider finding a truck that isn't held together by refined oil.
Don’t get anything diesel. The new diesels are a nightmare between def, the Bosch high pressure fuel pumps, all the emissions crap has ruined them. I’d go toyota or cybertruck. I hate the way the cybertruck looks but I have bunch of tesla model s’s and once you drive an electric car gas cars feel terrible after.
Ford is the superior truck 6.7 power stoke is amazing
I'm surprised at the awful MPG of those Tundra's, I really like them, but those V-8's in them have a serious drinking problem.
The 5.7 makes almost 400 hp though. I had a built 383 in a chevy van that got maybe 7 or 8 mpg and was 350 hp but well over 400 torque. Guzzler that could blow the tires all the way through third and at 55 on the freeway.
Pit Row
So....I've been looking at getting a truck for awhile and after lots of research:
The Titan is the worst on the list followed by the Tundra. Tundra has had reliability issues and the gas mileage blows.
The Tacoma (or any midsize truck) has too small of a rear seat. I larger bed would be nice too for moto.
I would go full-size truck honesty. All those diesels are excellent options (if you tow). I'd lean towards the F250.
If you aren't towing anything, get a half-ton. The Ram is rated the best, closely followed by the Ford. Chevy just had a mid-cycle refresh so it's a good option too.
If you offroad (or want to look badass), go with the Raptor.
As for Cybertruck, it's my dream rig but that's because I'm a tech guy. I have had a reservation since 2019. Even though the looks are polarizing, I love it! I love the auto tonneau cover, the big screen in the interior, the OTA software updates, the interior looks/layout, the frunk, autopilot, ,the tough exterior body, and the big bed compartment. BUT, I would wait a year or two for the price to come down and the range to increase. Range is not that good right now (200-225 mile on 100% charge). The perfect moto truck imo.
You could make a Tundra near a Trophy Truck for the price paid for a Raptor.
Yep. And I'd still take a Raptor (especially 3rd gen).
I guess you don't really offroad then.
Just picked up my new RAM yesterday. Got one with the 6' 4" bed instead of the 5' 7" this time.
Just picked up my new RAM yeaterday, this time I got one with the 6' 4" bed and not the 5' 7" bed.
Great choice. That is a beautiful and very capable truck.
Still ain’t no ford fucking ranger!!!
I've raced Baja for four decades on bikes and in race cars. You're out of your league.

Edit: I'd rather have a fully built 1991 half back mobber Ranger v6 than any of the shit we've been discussing.
That is a lot of miles. If you don't mind me asking, what do you do to drive so much?
