Didn't see another thread on it, so I figured I'd save some of you in fantasy. Said his elbow is getting worse so he's sitting out to go get checked out.

That's funny. Yesterday he told Lewis it was much better. The only kind of Dr. that can help him is a sport psychologist. He doesn't want to race with those guys and he keeps proving it every week.

He should’ve said fuck it and defended his title instead of moving up 😁 would maybe be in the same boat he’s in right now just on the first year of a 2 year deal. Could’ve made some more money an extra year

Proving why exactly he had no factory 450 offers for so long. Really seems like PMG just wants Husky to be out there, like they don’t really care how they do. The vibe I get from the Husky team is that they don’t care about results at all and just want to be at the races. Who they sign to ride for them proves that. If you listen to Christian and Malcolm in interviews, they don’t sound like they have any pressure to perform at a higher level. Malcolm is perfectly content where he’s at in the main events. Definitely a different atmosphere after Bobby left imo.

The percentage of guys who transition from 250s directly to a 450 factory ride have generally won a 250 championship of some sort.

So you could really say it's rare for almost any 250 rider to get a factory 450 offer without any championship. Don't just single Craig out like that.

To be completely honest, I think he took a “low” salary to go to Husky, and he’s waiting until its contract season to risk himself. Don’t be surprised if he starts becoming the 5-8 guy he should be right now once contract discussions start next season.

Yeah I have no idea what he's getting paid. Don't really care. I'm just alluding to your point that he never got any 450 factory offers before. Well take a look around. Hardly any 250 rider without a championship gets a factory 450 offer. It's extremely rare so that point is kinda ridiculous.

Even some 250 champions still struggle to land a 450 factory deal.

He doesn’t have a ride for next year, so this is how trying to get a ride performance lol

I'm not trying to pile on this guy but in the press day interview with him he looks really unhealthy. Super pale and sickly looking. They went from the Sexton interview to Craig and the contrast between their faces was shocking. I hope everything is ok with him.

Never liked Craig really, seemed that he stayed forever on Geico´s 250 team slacking (Dont know if paige had anything to do withh it but you wonder...) and then, when it folded went to star and it was do or die and he did, he got a championship, i was surprised.
Then now in Husky is the same deal, just mediocre rides over and over, to be fair tho, Mookie, which i really tought would be fast has shown moments of brilliance but hasnt delivered aswell

Shoot. Everyone wants to see him succeed. Disappointing.

If a guy is hurt and has been doing what he can what would you expect from the guy. The sport is dangerous as it is and then trying to race supercross on that level isint going to give you any confidence. Maybe husky said try and gut it out? If your risking yourself because your hurt it’s only a matter of time before you make it worse. And last year he was hurt. He’s been injury prone the last couple of years and that goes with the job. I personally don’t think he ever jelled with the husky.

Professional athlete says injury has worsened each round, waits until 7th round to mention/have it looked at. That doesn’t sound like horsesh*t at all..

He would be the lowest placing factory rider if he did race, he has that part down. Evil I think Husky should just send him on his way and let someone who wants to be there have a shot.

He’s clearly not in it mentally anymore. I’m just curious if it’s for mental health reasons or if dad life has him reevaluating priorities

I was shocked they wouldn’t move RJ up after his Daytona performance.

I don't get the massive Craig hate going on lately. I'm not really a fan, and he for sure hasn't performed since going to Husky, but he absolutely showed the speed on a 450 before this to justify a factory ride, both on Star and HRC. What's with all the saltiness saying he never deserved to be on this bike?

Something is not right. He had some sort of injury and never got it checked out now the elbow issue where it was nothing serious and now he's not racing.

Just seems strange like he is avoiding the Dr.

He doesn't deserve to STAY on the bike, he earned his status just has not lived up to it on a 450. Your only as good as your last race and he has not had a good race on as a Husky factory 450 rider. Time for Husky to move on.

And with a factory ride, you are expected to perform.   As with the demands of a factory salary.

That's just an opinion. We don't know what's going on behind the scenes.
