If you sit towards the bottom, you shouldn’t have the burning eye/nose/face issue. But for everyone saying it was a problem last year… lol it’s been a problem ever since they moved from chase field in downtown phoenix. The stadium is built to keep air in, not circulate fresh air from outside. Think about the summer months. So it makes sense why they can’t figure out how to keep fresh air moving through. But why they only crack the roof? Who knows. Sound maybe.
Domestic flights are rude expensive. As are hotels by the track. Flying into/out of ONT a big deal? Saw Spirit options but have heard the stories. Right now domestic flights are 2/3 the price of the international leg haha.
Flying in and out of ONT is no big deal, all good. Also check Allegiant Air from SNA to AZA (Mesa, AZ). Sometimes they have great deals if the fly times work. *Edit, Allegiant isn't flying from the LA area to Phoenix right now, so scratch that.
Cheapest SWA airlines option is from Long Beach to PHX. Its not cheap, but its not as stupid as the other airport pricing.
So, is it like an open track day for everyone or just a SX type ride day? I would like to come hang out maybe. I can't ride, I'm working in Cali, bike is back in Bama but Ill be in Maricopa/Casa Grande for a week visiting old coworkers (as well as attending the SX). I assume we can come hang out and shoot-the-shit?

It's just a regular Motoland Open practice day. So, yes, you are free to come hang out! Also, Ryno/Elevate will be doing a riding class there that day.
OK everything's booked, land in Phoenix about 3.30pm Friday, which I'm assuming by time we get to the hotel, all Friday activities will be wrapped up?
@donman I've emailed regarding the party loft.
Questions:
- If not the party loft, best seats? Any connections to industry anything? How hard is it to find someone who knows someone to get a track walk, truck tour etc? (forgive the ignorance).
- Staying in the Westgate precinct at some CozySuites apartment, approx a mile? from the track - Ubers relatively reliable? Looks a little far to walk.
- Earliest possible entry to the stadium Saturday? Would love to watch every session.
- Pit entry process?
Paging @ML512
- I can write, speak and shoot, have a degree in PR, likely be hanging around after the races until I'm kicked out
Lemme see if I can hook you up with a private track walk Friday evening. No promises.....but I do know a guy. It'd be 530-6 PM-ish for 30-45 minutes.
Edit: Ok. I can arrange this. PM me and I'll get you in touch with my buddy. We did this at A1 and it was pretty cool.
We are staying near the stadium too. Love to meet and say hello. Club level 209 at the track.
Yes, you will get in too late to go to Motoland on Friday. By the time you get out of the airport, you wouldnt get to motoland until 4:30 at the earliest. So that's out.
For best tickets, go on Stubhub or Seat geek, that's your best option. As for track walk, you would have to pay for the VIP experience.
Ubers readily available and easy.
Earliest entry to the parking lot is 11 am, stadium opens at noon'ish I believe, qualifying starts around 1 pm local.
Pit entry, bring an empty monster energy can for each person in your party. You turn it in at a table near the pit entrance and they will stamp your hand for entry. That's your cheapest option.
Enjoy the trip.
Psssst…your “messages” aren’t active in here….tried to message you.

Sorry I didn't even realize - have sorted I believe - try again please?

Headed to my Vegas flt!
See you in a few days. Travel well.

- If not the party loft, best seats? Best seats would be up to what you think is the part of the track you want to see, and your budget. 😎 *see track map below * Also, you can most likely purchase tickets right at the venue and save on some of the 'handling' fees.
Any connections to industry anything? I don't have any connections, but I see Team Green chimed in, and he has good info!
- Staying at some CozySuites apartment, approx a mile? from the track - I've had good luck with Uber there 👍
- Earliest possible entry to the stadium Saturday? Would love to watch every session. Earliest main gate entry may possibly be 10:30 - per the screenshot from SupercrossLive, com FanFest is definitely at 11:30 am
- Pit entry process? Just like TBonesPop said, empty Monster Energy can. Even if you don't drink the stuff... open and dump it - cheapest pit pass ever! Make sure to redeem this BEFORE trying to go in the stadium; there is definitely a special line for this!!!!!
Good luck on everything! And lastly, if you get into DrMarks / Vital suite, you'll meet a lot of cool moto dudes. I can't say enough good things about everyone... one person who knows and loves talking moto is, JMC2, his name is Jim. also here's our crew (open link)...

I just found out I'll be in town for some desert sunshine(?) and the Waste Management Open golf thing. I'll be with non-moto people but I'm exploring options of catching some moto activity.
It's been about 20 years but the AZ MotoDrive faithful hooked me up for a ride day when my wife and I were in town. As I recall, I rode TJ's CRF250 and 500guy's YZ426(?). I know there were a few more people involved but my old concussed brain is having trouble with the details.
Hopefully I'll run into you yahoos this weekend!
Those times listed are Pacific time.
Glendale is Mountain time so add an hour to them.
Dman,
The Aussie and his pops will be using my tix to Doc’s suite. It just makes sense.
They’re jumping on a flt to Murica for a Suoercross! And I’ve got two tix that fit the situation PERFECTLY. Besides, Aussies are such Total Bad Asses!
I’ve got other means to get in and out of the stadium and, hell, it’s “supposedly” work for me.
(That’s a bold face lie!)😂
Maybe we can get them to the stadium early in the day and introduce them to some peeps…maybe even a coupl’a Aussie brothers that are pretty damn good at this thing we call Moto.
C U there!
Manny
One of you guys that has my cell number, please give it to the Aussie's. I'm not on here much.....
I'll make sure they have details on the Loft!
Ping me again on drmarkr at gmail.... I want to make sure you have details on the party Friday night, assuming you guys get on the ground in time to make it out to TJ's house.
Motoland got rained out and is closed for Friday. Those of us who were planning to ride there are now going to ACP.
Pit Row
I am leaving in 5 minutes to rescue my 11 year old son from school and heading down from Vegas! Hopefully the southbound traffic to PHX is easy and not messed up from northbound super bowl traffic! We are in section 202 and planning on getting to the stadium around 130-2 to walk the pits. If anyone wants to grab a beer and say hi let me know… Manny i’ll send you a text tomorrow!
if you have a couple days before or after a trip to Sedona and Flagstaff could be cool. you could rent Pivot mountain bikes at Absolute Bikes in Sedona and ride around Bell Mountain.
Seriously considering a turn and burn trip. Leave here at 5am or so tomorrow am to be at the stadium by noon, then haul ass back home after the race as I have family plans Sunday. I might be a little bonkers...
Join the club 😀
Naw mate, you have us all covered. True iron man stuff you're doing.
Probably not a good idea right now. Snow in Sedona currently.

Here’ are the Top Secret Special Access Pit Passes that are still in Orange County and will arrive in the a.m. (just stole them from the BajaHQ race shop while ordering some Bronco parts).

It was great meeting Blake and his Dad!
Looked like they had a great time in the loft!!
Checking back in here.
Flew out of LA Sunday night, back on deck in Perth Tuesday 11am local time. Approx 40 hours of travel total.
WHAT. AN. EXPERIENCE!!!
I want to express my utmost gratitude to Manny, Mark and a couple of users here that prefer not to be named (but certainly know who you are!) for truly making this the trip of a lifetime. Track walk Friday night with impromptu meeting with RC and Diffey, party loft Saturday, watching every session from different sections around the stadium then of course the night show from the loft, is something both my dad and I will forever cherish.
The show was amazing, the scale of everything is next level.
One thing that spun us out was the accepted wait times for service - both at restaurants and at the stadium. Food and merch truck lines were insane, and 1 hour waits for a table at restaurants. I guess it was a big weekend for Glendale and people gotta eat!
Thanks again to everyone involved. What means the most to me is that as diehard as I am, I think my dad had an even better time!
Same time next year?
Man, I'm sorry I was late to this discussion! Doc told me about it, but I was hammered on time getting everything prepped, & never got a chance to check in. I'm glad you had a good time, Blake, & hope you can make it out next year. If so, plan to get out here a couple days earlier/later, & we'll ensure you are well taken care of! Contrary to some of the comments, there is a TON of stuff to do out here. We have snow within a couple hours, tons of killer SxS spots, lots of good open riding, a substantial opportunity for sport-shooting weapons, a wide variety of food/pubs, & a crack in the ground that you can evidently see from space. This year sucked because of the rain, but next year will be our 25th year doing this, so we'll be planning something extra special. As Mike mentioned, we have some buds from the Perth area (Darren White, Rod Gilchrist) who have been out multiple times, & we always love seeing those guys. Only been to Aus once, but it is one of my favorite trips in memory. Surfing at Bondi & Manly was epic, even though I floundered like a turtle on its back. I still pine for Wood Duck cream ale from a local pub in Sydney. I drank it every day for 10 days & wish they'd export it out here...if it's even still around? (I kinda sound like an alcoholic there I suppose, but I don't go to meetings so I guess I'm OK?!) At any rate, glad you made it out & had a good time. For anyone in the AZ area or planning on attending Glendale next year, hit me up at tjmx397 at the gmail, and I will be happy to share party/ride/loft details. Or maybe Donman, Doc, or Mike can remind me as we get closer & I will hop on here & post about it. These days, I'm busier than a cat trying to bury crap in a marble floor, & I rarely get time to check in...//TJ
