So cool!
Poor guy has to race 3 mains today
I was like how does he know he's in the main the heats haven't even started? Forgot it was a triple crown 😂
HAHAHA.. Right!?!? I thought the same thing. Doesn't matter. He did awesome getting in on a technical track.
Never was a doubt in my mind after A1. Dude has been on it.

Great for him. 40 and in the main is awesome.
Pretty rad to think that after missing the first 3 mains he now gets 3 gate drops under the lights on the night show. Growing up in Vista, CA Billy was one of the legendary names you heard about at the local tracks. Always been a fan.
Awesome👍
What was cool is the amount of fans who went nuts when he got in. Moto fans are very knowledgeable on significant accomplishments
Any mention of it would be nice.
I think it's worthy of a vital interview.
Very cool for Lano
So cool. I was thinking during the whole heat, just stay up! Great job by the old timer. 👍🏽👍🏽
Who is the oldest rider to make a main in each class?
I think Barry Carsten held the record in both classes until Billy made it in Saturday. He raced the 125 East back in 2003 and did a one-off race in the premier 250 class at Daytona. He was 36 at the time I believe.
Absolutely. When he was ridding off the track after the LCQ he was getting huge cheers and a small standing ovation. He acknowledged the crowd for our cheers and soaked it in. It was great to see!
Billy Laninovich is the oldest rider to ever qualify for a main event.

Remember that only premiere class results counts. An old Vital MX saying.
All the proof you ever need. No matter what age, no matter what skill, no matter what accomplishment - somebody on the internet will take time out of their day to shit on it.
When it comes to shit this place is a dairy farm.
Congrats Billy Bad Ass! May your record stand the rest of your days.
With that awsome hair he could be the second coming.
I remember watching Billy on Speed TV in 2006. Shits nostalgic as hell. Love me some Billy, love it when the privateers do something.
So that means all us dudes over 25 yet under 40 still have a chance to make a sx main in all its glory?!?
i like this, i got 5 years til im 40… Time to tell the wife im going from D class to making a Sx Main in 5 years.
Bad Boy Billy threw a nasty whip over the massive A1 finish line after his first qualifying session ended. I knew right then he was going to make it.
That was one of the highlights of the evening. He was one of my favorites back in his FC Honda days.

Does every spot in the main get a check?
Every one who makes the night show gets a paycheck.
Post a reply to: Plus 40 Lano in the main !
