So, it's spitting here in Mission Beach...  Rain is still north of us.

The hours from 1-3 are going to be interesting...  Right through qualy.  Still won't be heavy I don't think.

Depends on the goal...  Looking to do it "fast"?  Yeah.  Want to be able to do it and also get there on the same steed?  It's doable if configured correctly.  Smile   Adventuring is a-ok with me.  Doesn't have to be at XC-F speed.

Last week was an awesome show, more action than several races combined.

I totally agree.     It makes for interesting racing.   It throws EVERYBODY off their weekly gymnastics-robotic- practiced-to-death sessions.    The guys who can ACTUALLY ride rise to the top.

Who wants to watch the same old thing week after week with the same 3 guys at the top week after week.

Can you elaborate on ACTUALLY ride?

Staying on two-wheels and moving forward no matter what the conditions.

Dude no. It’s genuinely boring racing. I watched maybe 5 min of the 450 main last week.

I have a great idea....don't watch if ruins your day so much....see problem solved...

This actually might be the answer. At least give it a shot. West coast open stadiums would be great from March on.

The way the tracks looking, it’s gonna be slick and rutty. Nothing wrong with that. I’m just not a fan of the mud slop with riders doggy paddling around

Group A qualifying going on with a very  minor drizzle, no effect on the track as if 12:18

The announcer is saying it’s raining - this isn’t rain

They're just compensating for California.    A drizzle brings all the morans to a standstill (on the roads).

it’s starting to get a little slick out there. By the second qualifying round the times will probably be much slower

Can't really do that. Impossible to coordinate schedules around NFL playoffs.

Looks like you encountered a little slick spot on your Adventure cruise there.

I don't see anything relevant to your fondness for muddy conditions in "this sport" of motocross.

Been raining already for 45 minutes, right by the stadium

Well, that swath of rain is enhancing on the radar as it approaches the land, it's going to be a decent shot of rain for the next 2-3 hours. Let's hope for the best for the night show!

A big reason why the season starts in Cali vs the east coast is stadium availability. A lot of east coast races are traditionally in football stadiums, and a lot of west coast races are in baseball stadiums. Not easy for Feld to just flip its relationships and get new venues on board.

The people that complain about mudders none stop have to be the same group of people that say theres no reason to ever use a pressure washer on your bike.

I'm seeing light rain until 4, cloudy from 5-9, and 50% chance for light rain at 10 p.m. Could be a good race.

Nah...   I got that beast back up all by myself.   Wasn't easy because of the rut.     They're not too bad to pick up on flatish terrain, you just gotta be smart about it.    Sometimes going down on a hill works to your advantage when it comes to leverage.
