Nah man, the Volcom stuff was trash. We aren't skater bros, we race dirt bikes.

There's a bunch of new Moose gear on the PU site . Hopefully Thor will have more than the 3 designs that they have said are coming.  Its funny, my Rep told me that PArts Unlimited considers Moose their higher end brand VS Thor . The Moose stuff is nice, but I always thought of Thor as their bigger name.

A bunch of different Moose gear that is NOT in their 2024 catalogs that just came out recently.  So hopefully they have some surprises with the Thor side too.  I've always thought of Moose as an off road brand. And not been a fan of the brand. But there are a couple of designs in the new line up that I really like. And it fits my larger than average size better too.

Moose is definitely not considered the high end.  The three new colors are all Thor is coming out for spring but that is usually how it is for the spring release.  Part numbers go live Monday and jerseys are in stock and pants will be very soon. And yes there were some new Moose items that just released too.

Thanks for that info. Maybe I misunderstood my Rep , or he was just trying to get me to take a closer look at the Moose stuff.    What about the Thor gear in the Yamaha ads with the 50th bikes? Any plans on that being  made?

No go on the purple stuff and trust me I’ve tried!  And yeah that was just a misunderstanding I’m sure and the moose stuff is great quality but that’s not how it’s positioned in the market.

This was the definition of cool for me a couple of years ago. Still love it today. I have only managed to track down a jersey, still looking for pants.12161235874 d7ffa68b87 b

I'm not big on the modern text logo but Prado and Webb have passable looking gear this weekend.

WebMX, you guys call crisps, chips. And a lift is an elevator... See how this works? Different places, different words 👍

All brands have off years. Gear is totally subjective. 04- 08 thor gear was the peak, but in recent years they have adopted the clean minimalist look, which some people (me) like way more than the hectic explosion of colors and designs (that God awful yellow and purple tld polka dot gear anyone??).

To each their own. I don't love the new alpinestars gear, and if they didn't dominate in being the gear that all the top racers wear, I think a lot of people wouldn't be so hyped on it. Reed and his iconic thor gear is iconic because it was Chad Reed on a yami with some cool designs. He was at or near the top of the heap and people want a piece of it. AStars basically owns all the fast 450 riders, and I honestly find it extremely boring.

I do think that there is a huge missed opportunity with 450 class riders especially in outdoors to run a different colour with moto 1 and 2. It was always so cool to see stew and rc wearing different kits in moto 1 vs moto2, and it was much better at showcasing the full compliment of a companies product.

I actually liked the TLD gear you’re talking about, but it was kind of a One industries knock off. The One gear and the TLD that followed were styled after horse jockey uniforms which is funny. Loud gear shouldn’t take itself too seriously, and jockey gear has an unavoidable sense of comedy. Same with Thor’s cat gear, whenever that was.

Most of the big gear brands stick to simple designs because it's really tough to layer all those complex patterns on the rollers. It's just easier to work with basic layouts on the templates. They don't want to spend hours upon hours lining artwork up on each panel...

I've been growing my own gear company since Spring 2023. If you're on the lookout for gear that suits everyone from beginners to pros, take a peek at @REFYNRacewear. I'm in the UK, but I'm planning to launch to the public in June 2024 with my 2025 collection.

I've been working with pro riders who put gear to the test. The test pants we are using are lasting around a really good amount of time before you start to see any wear. The leather stays like new after washing and remains soft. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and I used to be a pretty good rider myself before I stopped, so I get what both pro and average riders are looking for. I've pretty much made something for everyone. We've got both Regular fit and Slim fit jerseys available. You can pick the style that suits you best, because I know not everyone's into the slim fit look.

I'm really into art, so my gear designs are both sleek and straightforward, and also have that throwback vibe from 15 years ago that really makes you go "wow".

Also, check out these shots from a KTM Spain Photoshoot from a rider that I'm helping out.

Fox is also completely lost. Yeah they release some nice retro kits and special athlete only kits but the standard collections the last 5 years has been a major letdown. Their A1 anniversary gear was horrendous. How far have you fallen when that is what you bring out to celebrate 50 years of the company?

I have some of the thor/volcom stuff in 34/XL if anyone is interested. It's not exactly for sale but if it is something you really really want back/nostalgic for you, I will part with it. I ride in it once every 10 weeks and as cool as it is, I don't really care lol.
