I'm coming off a 125 so not doing anything to the engine yet as it'll be quick enough. Supposedly the 1999 was a solid motor, so I've got a new VForce3 and a full PC pipe that should be plenty!

Oh yes it should be plenty enough, I was wondering if you would even consider taming it down with a different head dome or porting or even slightly heavier fly wheel as I’m sure on some vintage tracks you race on it’s not prepped deep and it gets slippery so you can lack traction.

We see many people get porting and wants a FAST 250 but in reality they can’t handle it more than a couple laps. lol

I think it’s way easier to go fast with a smoother power delivery.

I'll not know until I ride it but I adapt quite easily so I'm sure it'll be fine as-is. A heavier flywheel would perhaps be something easy to swap out and try but I'm not a fussy rider. Agree on your points though!

Chuck, what grit do you finish your swingarms with? The last few builds the swingarms look fantastic, I know you said it’s a process but what is the final finish?

320 grit then red scotch/wd40 essentially. The graft is getting to the point you’re ready to start putting the brushed effect back into it with 320. Speaking of swingarms…

I am searching for a replacement hose to connect the reservoir with the rear master cylinder. Albeit for a Honda steelframe. May I ask where you got it from? Many thanks

Speak to Corby Kawasaki in the UK, they stock japanese hose in correct measurements for cr/kx rear masters…cheap too.

Good lord!  I am going to start referring to you as Charles.  Someone with such extinguished taste must be called an equally distinguished name!

Awesome attention to detail chuck! Always enjoy drooling over your builds. Can't wait to see this one done. I have a 99 125 I've slowly been hoarding stuff for and this is definitely giving me motivation to get on it. Side note sorry to derail but if anyone knows where to get a set of those cool berg racing carbon airbox streamliner guards pm me on here plz thanks!s1200 1F721B32 14C5 4D00 B323 33687410A1EF
