You know hat's deceptive at best. 2020 was not a normal year, exceptions never make for a good rule. But even so, had the Covid never happened, Trump was so popular nobody had a chance in the Republican party to challenge him.

Very different than challenging and debating a dementia riddled too old sack of shit.

The only reason they are not having primaries, when they give the boot to Old Man Joe, they can place whoever they want on the ballot (think Michelle) instead of having to palace someone from the primary voting process. Of course with their "super delegates" they do that anyway don't they? They might be afraid that Joe won't even make it through his own primary process, he's that bad.

Very different than challenging and debating a dementia riddled too old sack of shit.

You know trump didn't show up for any of the debates right?

Anyway i said it earlier, running a primary against a sitting president is stupid. Having a 2 party system is stupid too. The whole primary thing is new in the last 50 years and more of a gentleman's agreement.

It's disingenuous to imply "has no need to debate" vs "can't debate" is the same thing

Everyone knows Trump is the republican nominee at they still LET others debate and have a primary. The democrats are silencing everyone by not letting them even speak and contest Joe

We do not need to get rid of the electoral college. Our founding fathers were very smart and made our republic this way intentionally so that all parts of our country have an equal say in who the leader is, not just NY and CA. We can all see what a shit show those two states are. For a candidate to win they have to appeal to the whole country, not just the libs who live in the city. A farmer does not want a guy living in a condo telling him how to live his life.

Republicans don't have a sitting president. All the primary debates happened in the year prior to the general election. Did trump do any primary debates in 2019 before covid was a thing?

I'm not a big fan of Joe, I'm not a big fan of trump, I'm not a big fan of most anyone else in national politics at this moment. I'm just stuck with a binary choice. You don't have to agree with everything your preferred party says and does and you don't have to agree with everything your preferred talking head says.

A party holding a primary when they have a sitting president is very very rare, it's an artifact of our 2 party system. This kind of talk is a ploy to attack Biden from the left and the right (he gets alot of grief from the left already). We've seen trump get attacked from the right by DeSantis this year and the republican talking heads are jealous.

I remember when Trump being the nominee as a sitting president and not allowing anyone to oppose him in 2020 was considered a dictatorship. He has strong armed the republican party and will not allow challengers to himself for fear of losing this is how democracy dies.

This is a direct threat to our democracy by a tyrant.

Trump is holding the republican party hostage and won't allow...

This was 4 years ago when no real republican even wanted to run against him, I don't even remebrcany rino's wanting to run against him off the top of my head.

But with Democcrats its totally fine, its not a threat to democracy it actually completely normal . We have a few that wanted to challenge him including Kennedy and they were brushed off. It will be hard to run anyone (Newsome) but dementia Joe and the hyena because of Kennedy. I have heard that should they try to slide him in instead of allowing a vote should Joe's demntia get worse because of Kennedy originally trying to run and now having to run as an independent. That can be seen as rigging, interference in an election and other things. They might be tied to ol Joe now wether they want him or not.

I'm not even gonna comment on your stupid ploy comment.  Seriously that's dumb. Your not that dumb. I belive anyways.

Seriously. You can't not make this shit up!

Infringement! Laughing

Did anyone even want to get decimated by Trump? No, not really. Trump's presidency was so successful prior to covid, everyone knew it was hopeless to even try to run against him.

Actually, the Electoral College was established to give the Southern states. who could count their slaves as 3/5's of a person, more power in the presidential election as the Southern states were smaller in free population than the north.

It was pushed by James Madison (slave state of Virgina) over the objections of James Wilson (free state of Pennsylvania)

For the first 32 years of the US, a Virginian held the presidency for that very reason.

If that was the case then why didn't Union States and all their pull address the EC after the Civil War when they had the southern states on their knees?

False that is something that democrats (racist party of kkk) started to add power to the south. That was not an original reason for the electoral college. Hence why it was written in as 3/5 compromise

Other world leaders know already who our next president will be.

And are already planning appropriately.

The talk in davos right this very minute, is around them already knowing,  and trying to out maneuver him.

Something they don't have to worry about with the bumbling idiot we're stuck with now.

He's to far gone to even see he's been kicked to the curb by the rest of the world.

And being laughed at every time he's propped up to speak/mumble.

Even more so when that bimbo VP opens up her mouth and babbles on about nothing comprehensible.

Could get worse than Joe. Look at what the Republican candidates have said about Russia/Ukraine, Israel/Hamas, Israel/Iran, China/Taiwan.

2 of the top runners don't give a shit about helping our allies against our enemies.

Or at least someone who hasn’t stated they want to be a dictator and that Presidents should have full and complete immunity, even for things that cross the line. Thats kinda the lowest bar to pass for me in order for me to vote for you. And the Republican front runner can’t even clear that bar.
