Smith looked fantastic last night, and week 1 for that matter.
He looked good at A1 too. He's certainly a contender for the West coast title.
Yeah well, Smith was holding a very heavy red plate before Deegan was 10 so..
Pumped for Jordan to get a win, people forget he was the points leader in Vegas 2017 when he endo’d out of the race/title on the ski jump coming back into the stadium, he rides that out and the infamous Osborne/Savatgy pass would never have happened. That was a crazy night.
My worry for several of these veteran 250 guys is if they win the title, they effectively end their career. Who hires him to race a 450?

yep,
not sure what smith's advancement status is, but if he gets to defend it any of those factories would love to have their bike ads with a #1 plate next year.
It was nice to finally see him up on the podium for an sx race. He finished great last yeat winning last playoff smx race. Definitely shouldn't count him out this sx season. I've met him a couple of times he's a really good guy. Very friendly, outgoing and easy to talk to. Really appreciates his fans.
Smitty and RJ are both pushing 30. They definitely have the experience.
So far this season is demonstrating why splitting the 250 class into a 250 open series and 250 futures series thats age or starts restricted would go a long way in developing rider skills and marketing.
I believe he just became the title favorite.
