Unless there is some crazy performance benefit that explains why the bike looks the way it does, this is a huge head scratcher. So ugly.

Engine looks similar to the current model here.

Close 2nd to the Beta as the ugliest fucking modern bike I’ve seen. I’m buying 4 2024’s just so I’m set for the remainder of my lifetime on a Honda that doesn’t look like absolute shit. Holy smokes this bike aesthetically looks terrible.

The shrouds can't possible be the final design, holy shit they are ugly.

Shrouds logos are new like current Dakar bikes racing now. I bet those are real.

Looks like another discussion about plastics.   Anyone here consider performance, or just plastics?  https://www.tupperware.com/

Well we don’t know anything about its performance yet. But we know it’s ugly.

I love it. Looks like a modern interpretation of the 1983 CR125.

Vented shrouds, other then that i think it looks pretty similar to todays generation.

Bike will look just fine most likely 👍

I'm not quite sure I'm sold on the looks of this new CRF450, because it's pre production and the photos are not super sharp.  I know it might sound petty, but besides the shrouds, I hate the look of that second upper bracket near where the engine hanger is, just completely disrupts the lines of the bike. If for some reason I wanted to get another bike, there are plenty of beautiful bikes to choose from, but I hope Honda changes a couple things, before they release this bike.

RMZs are some of the best looking bikes out there. If y'all are so concerned about how a bike looks, get one of those.

For me, I've always thought my best "looking" bikes were the ones I enjoyed riding the most. It's a psychological thing where the more I enjoy riding it, the better it looks in my mind. Plus it's much much easier to change the way a bike looks than how it performs.

At first glance I was not a fan. But the image ML posted was a bit better. And I could see a resemblance to the 1980's shrouds.

The Current factory bikes have the vertical CRF on the shrouds like this bike. and like a poster above said the Dakar bikes. So it seems like it is the direction they are going. Perhaps Tim will be racing one in the GP's like they raced the 2017 and 21 models a little earlier?

My first impression is I do not love the looks. But I've been a fan of Honda's for most of my life. Maybe I'm getting old? maybe when I see some better images I'll like it more? Or maybe it will just grow on me. The rest of the bike looks out of place with that shroud. The front fender lines are too sharp for that rounded shroud.

I wonder how much will be changed other than the bodywork? And if their electric bike had any influence on the direction they went with the bodywork or other parts on the new bike?

That is not a pre-pro 2025 CRF, it is the production version with works suspenders.

Were you at G.H. yesterday? I think we passed each other as I was entering the track and you were headed back to the pits.

The wind was absolutely fucked so I packed up and went home after about 10 laps. Sad

Could it just look odd because it’s a prototype?
I think the minimal side side panels and, radiator shrouds look terrible though.

Hopefully, Honda changes them during production.

this. but yea, the side panel area for numbers is getting smaller and smaller. i really don't like seeing the entire exhaust system exposed. I blame ktm for all the shitty angled design trend they set. feel bad for score keepers at the amateur scenes.

Man, that thing looks hideous with those panels but at least it doesn't look like a 24 ktm, which is also its own version of hideous.

That prehistoric Suzuki is starting to look better and better every new redesign from other manufacturers.
