Logan Karnow injury update

You don't dislocate your ankle without breaking something. Nothing some screws and plates can't fix. Not as bad as it sounds, he could make it back this year. 

Doubtful breaking your ankle is the worst injury you can have need a very good surgeon to put it back together!!

Thanks Friese for ruining Karnow’s season.  I know I’ll get bashed, but racing incident or not Friese is the common denominator.

So what happened? 

Better check with Dean Wilson, too.

Kind of hard to see clearly but if you pause it just right, you can see he gets pushed to the outside and #173 Hunter Schlosser runs right into his leg as Logan is planting it. From this angle you shouldn't be able to see a A-Stars logo on the shin plate of Logan's boot when the rest of his leg is pointed towards the whoops. 

Bummed for Karnow, he seemed pumped on his riding and was looking forward to the year. 

I dislocated & broke my ankle pretty bad Feb 29th, 2020. They put some plates & screws in & i was back riding May 31st. By December my ankle was regressing & doc recommended a fusion. I tried to put it off for a while but over the next few months my ankle became very weak, brittle, tender, sore, so i got it fused in 2021! Ended up solid because my fused ankle feels significantly better than it did the 6 months before. Hopefully Karnow has a little better luck with just healing up!

Had the same injury in early June 2000. On crutches till late Sept, riding again by January. Ankle now full of arthritis and hurts to walk most days. Fusion coming way eventually.
