Yep.  I did REALLY enjoy it with JT at Muddy Creek, but it was nowhere close to this cost level.  That said, if the market bears it, that is awesome and Feld, the riders, and those doing the work should benefit from it.  If this is a success, it will do nothing by elevate professionalism for the sport overall.

Magoofan, it is what it is and if you want terrific streaming coverage, better payouts for riders, and continued support from manufacturers......it has to make financial sense and we have to grow to do that.  You can still go to a SX race for far less than $100 a person and pit access with a energy drink can...and that's a great value.

I'm all for payouts, support from manufacturers.  I just don't want to see us turn into NASCAR or pretty much every other huge motorsport or ball sport.    Big money brings bad shit.

Racing going electric.....I'm out at that point anyway.

Um....read more threads, we tell the top elite riders, how to corner, brake, hit whoops, when they should retire, get black flagged and sure a whole lot more, so yeah, why is this any different lol hope you pick up my sarcasmSmile

From Google so not sure how accurate these ticket prices are - Prices for Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour can range from $500 to $7,000,

Pretty expensive and I doubt you even get to meet her.

For folk who can afford it, hanging out at HRC for the day will be a wonderful experience.

Even if I could afford these VIP things I wouldn't do it.  I dig the shit out of the Lawrences but they already have enough hangers on.

I said earlier...I'd pay $100 to hang out/help a privateer.  To each his own.Blush

Are you insinuating that by doing this the Lawrences are somehow taking money from the privateers?

If I had the disposable cash, I would love to hang out and Star or HRC, and I totally believe for a whole day it would be well worth the money. Problem is by the time I convert CDN (Canadian dollar) to USD, it will cost me "1 BILLION DOLLARS"!

Privateer excuse has become ridiculous. If privateers want more money. They need to get faster or get creative and find other ways to make money.  there's no reason they cant pay the fee to sell shirts through field or hire another pit spot for fan interaction etc... We watch 22 of the best riders in the world, with more factory teams joining the line up all fighting for a spot in the main events. Not every one gets a medal and not every one gets paid. We are coming into a point in time where more teams are lining up and more riders are capable of being at the top.

2 brothers who are rising to the top of the sport choose to be more involved with the fans. They have had free media days, ride nights, training days, meet and greets and so on....

Star Yamaha was around $1500 for a vip experience pass in 2023 that offered far less and no one mentioned it or complained.

Lawrence brothers go above and beyond. invest there own dollars to make the experience truly something different and more interactive for an additional $500 and every one sooks about it.

Every privateer has social media. Get in touch with the guy of your choice and tell him you'll pay him to hang out with him at the races for a day. I highly doubt any of them will turn down your money. Oh wait, if you did that, how would you virtue signal about how "for the little guy" you are...

Then go pay a privateer 2k and you could probably drive his van to the track and help him wash the bike.  Privateers have the opportunity to be there because of the factory riders, not the other way around.

For some reason you want to go to races in stadiums and/or watch live racing.....but also want it to be like Carlsbad 40 years ago where there was barely any $ in the sport.  Nobody wants it to be Nascar, but all of this is GREAT for the sport and the best part is you get to choose what to participate in or not.

I think I've got this.

*People who come from nothing and create their wealth from opportunities within the sport itself, like the Lawrences and the Deegans are doing, are bad for the sport; whereas people like the Carmichaels and the Stewarts, who did pretty much the exact same thing, are actually good for the sport.

*There's too much big money floating around now and that's bad for the privateers, and there's no where near enough big money floating around now and that's bad for the privateers.

*Electric bikes will increase the number people who participate in the sport, thereby increasing the overall interest in it, which will kill it off entirely, because the only way to open your eyes and seize the future is to close your eyes and live in the past.

*Star Yamaha, Triumph, and Ducati, will all be fielding black bikes, thereby quenching a debilitating thirst for black bikes no one actually had but will soon begin to admit to having.

Yup - makes perfect sense.

The only fallout is anti Lawrence brother stuff, as mentioned many times in this and other threads that other teams do it and no bashing is done of them but when HRC do it then suddenly it's a bad thing ... it's typical
