So apparently, the Lawernce bros are getting to give special vip access and meet and great for 2k a pop and 750 a pop for friday.
- comments have been wild to say the least as in bashing.
So my next question, when can privateers and the other players offer vip stuff and sell things in the pits??
To be fair, the same VIP experience is being offered at other Factory Teams as well (Star/Gas Gas) for $2k a person. HRC just happens to have an all Lawrence 450 line-up, which provides them a unique marketing opportunity.. "The Lawrence Bros Experience".
The VIP experience is offered with Star Yamaha, TLD GasGas and HEP Suzuki as well. I think for a privateer to get involved they would need some help. The VIPs get pretty much chauffeured around everywhere (Jimmy D actually does this for Star Yamaha) and I don’t know how a privateer would be able to pull off the same experience without hiring personnel. Maybe it could be like a super cheap option (a couple hundred bucks) and all you get is access to their pits or something along those lines.
I do believe privateers have the option to sell their merch at the moto tees rig but they have to give FELD a cut so a majority decide to just sell merch outside of the events (please correct me if I’m wrong about this). Definitely think this should be changed to at least allow them to sell at their pit areas.
Privateers can offer VIP experiences after they earn a factory ride I guess
I don't see what the big deal is. If some teams aren't creative enough that's not HRC's problem
@Shakybonez15 it's not The Lawrence brothers, it is Feld creating these opportunities. Check out the link below for A1 opportunities.

Money buys access be it golf Major's, F1 races, or Final 4 games.
Feld and teams are just seeing another way to drive revenue and cover some expenses.

I would much rather pay 50$ to ride my local track that day….I”m sure MX sports is nibbling on this tit…
Bring back the RacerX gas card.
I’m sure the Lawrence brothers are helping charities all around the world. Think they just made a donation to The Bentley Group.
I know first hand how much the big factory teams help privateers.
In 2019 we raced the outdoors with help from Creative Sports Concepts and many other wonderful sponsors. We rode KTM 450's.
Guys like Ian Harrison from factory KTM would pass us bits and bobs at every national and also Scuba from Factory Husky.
Every bit helped us and if these teams find ways to generate more income then I'm all for it. Teams are in it for the big picture of marketing. They are not trying to get rich from the pits. It is how the big wheel turns.
Ask any privateer. They will tell you that there is always someone in the pits that will throw them bones.
I do not like the idea of privateers having to sell merch out of the Moto Tees trailer. That's fucking bullshit. They need every dime and should be afforded the freedom to sell from their own pits should they wish to do so.
Big money ruins all sports.....
What a brain dead fucking comment. Just because they don’t broadcast doing so to the world, you assume they don’t donate to charity? How tf would you know? That’s such a weird ass stance to take, as if it’s anyone’s business what they do with their money. Let’s see how much you’ve donated to charity in the last two years in comparison to all your spending. If they should broadcast it, why shouldn’t you?
YOU DONATED YOUR WINNINGS FROM TODAY TO THE PEOPLE AFFECTED BY THE FLOOD IN WAVERLY, TENNESSEE. That bonus money is going to a lot better cause than me. If it went to me, it is just going to go into my bank account, and I would probably spend it on something stupid. At least this money is going to the foundation and is going to be put to good use. I know that I probably can’t help in many ways, but if this is the way I must help, I am going for sure try to help because there is a lot of people out there suffering that we do not know. We are out here having a great time racing dirt bike, so I want to make sure that those people know that I am thinking about them and praying for them.
Jett donated his days earnings from Ironman. I'm guessing the Lawrence's will do more as they move along with their careers.
Bloody hell, people getting upset about other people offering their time for a cool experience in exchange for money.... let's not forget this is a fun sport!
Best $250 I ever spent
We sat in the press box at one of the Anaheim races.
You must be an old guy. I feel the exact same way.
I did it three times. San Diego, A2, and Frisco. Best money I ever spent at the races. We had front row seating in the press box for all three, two of them being mudders so it was worth it's weight in gold.
Paying $2k to meet someone who doesn't give a shit about you = "cool experience"
Replace the word cool with simp and you nailed it.
People getting mad about a service or product they have no desire to purchase and will never be obligated or forced to pay for is certainly a choice.
Pit Row
Get off my lawn… and give me back the 125”s at the Nationals…
I remember hearing of The Collective Experience on Pulp that does something similar for privateers: https://www.thecollectivexp.com/new-experiences/motocross-fan-experience-1
When you look at the amount of Merch money the Sprint Car and Late Model guys pull in, Moto is fucking appalling.
A rising tide lifts all boats , and yet Feld and the Stadiums want a cut that makes it a fucking joke.
Even the guys Vlogging are getting grief.
Piss poor, especially when they are the Clowns and have to pay to perform.
Would you really want to meet anybody who said they will meet you for 2 grand?
Yet people will pay tens of thousands to go to a Superbowl game and sit in the cheap seats.
Or $30-50 thousand to go to an F1 race and never get to meet the drivers.
Or 5-10 thousand to watch Taylor Swift sing, and never get to meet her.
$2K for a VIP experience with a meet and greet doesn't sound that far fetched....
anyone ever think maybe there is young kids might be a little more interested in this stuff? i can imagine some dads who have the coin to treat there young ones to this kind of thing would happily spend the dollars to make to make there kids smile and hang out with there idols.. If i was a young kid and i got this opportunity. it would be a core memory for the rest of my life.
Its funny that as soon as anyone does these kind of events. People act like its an Adults only event and there are targeting the 50+ audience.
Haters gonna hate.
One hell of a band! IMHO.
Team Lawrence!
Do they get free donuts?
Exactly, courtside nba seats are 1-6k easy. For an hour of fun .
If you have the extra cash... the Lawrence deal is where the fun is gonna happen.
There's lots of folks that don't like the brothers for reasons I don't understand. You'd have to hate fast fuckers that get results. And hate those guys for having fun and loving life. Hate close families and young men that respect others. Hate for hates sake.
Love other riders...hell yeah...but hate for anyone in the sport...I just don't get it.
I'd really like to see some(if not all) of the VIP experience proceeds go to Road to Recovery) or something similar.
I'll also put this out there...ever since I roamed the privateer pits at Thunder Valley way back and hung out with Reynard and his family(dad turning wrenches like a mad man while Son ate everything under the awning) ...I'd pay $100 bucks to hang out/help in a privateers pit. I'd even cook food for the day. If they sold even 5 VIP passes...that wouldn't be too crowded and what a great day.
More clueless people yapping about nonsense. Wasn’t a problem when Reed did it. Or when Rocky Mountain KTM did it. Or when any other team did it. In fact, people loved it! But NOW it’s a problem and favoritism is at play because the Lawrence’s are offering it.
Make it make sense, please! Yes, there's no denying that Jett and Hunter get a lot of media attention (not for no reason) but don't let that bias make you think they're getting special treatment or privileges. It just goes to show that more people are paying attention to them than other riders if they didn't know this has been a thing for years.
