You know what's really funny about that. It's how RC celebrates the move, when today he's all "that's not cool" when Friese does it.
lol how they all are dieing laughing over VF going down 😂
😆 thought the same thing!
And all these years later Vince is still the same guy. You could take him out every race and it wouldn't change who he is, and worse yet he'd then be crying victim. Yet another reason this self policing idea is dumb.

Good to know and thanks for the feedback. I bumped David's volume up and I need to turn Nick's down a bit.

Back in DB's day...you had guys like Jeff "Chicken" Matesevich, Damon Bradshaw, Ricky Johnson, Bob Hannah, and several other riders who had zero problem with tagging another rider if they were riding to the front or if the rider was in their way for a podium. These guys weren't pussies, or angels at all...they were pro racers riding for a paycheck. Most of them would ride cool when they could...but they were also up for a hit when it benefitted them. And, you didn't hear anybody whining about it either! Everybody figured it was par for the course if you wanted to race in the "big boy" class.
The problem with Friese is...and has always been that he damn near always rides the way he does no matter if he's riding to the front (almost never!) or is getting passed by everybody. He has no class and no professionalism at all...and has Mike Genova and Tony Alessi on his side too, and neither one of them have the balls to do anything about it...just like most of the riders on the track these days.
Exactly. His takeouts really have no purpose.
"Back in the day they were tougher....they rode rougher....they never woulda stood for this, they were real men and today's riders are pussies...blah, blah, blah...."
Ok fellas....go tell that to Anderson, Barcia, Mookie etc... they would own the riders of yesteryear in every aspect of the sport, including rough riding.
Absolute bullshit...but that's usually the case with your posts, anyway.
I still stand behind my statement that the riders of yesterday were a helluva lot tougher than a lot of the riders today. Your post basically calls David Bailey a liar, and Bob Hannah as well, who recently said exactly what I said to Weege. Bumping was thought of as just a part of the sport then, if there was a reason for it. If Friese was doing his deal in those days, his ass would be punted over a berm immediately.
Of course those guys think that....everyone thinks that their era was the greatest and the rest of them are softer or lesser, that's called human nature.
Maybe bumping was more prevalent because they were going 1/3 of the speed and doing jumps 1/4 of the size of the guys today?
I wonder what Rollerball would do these days with a guy like Friese.
Block passing and running it in on people are a standard and accepted part of the sport today as well, that hasn't changed. The same pass today gets dismissed because it happens countless times every supercross but if it had happened 40 years ago at half the speed it gets remembered as evidence of how rough and tough the sport was back then. It's classic "back in my day" stuff that can't be supported by actual evidence. We're just supposed to take the old guys word that they were tougher.
What he’d do, in hockey terminology, is called an Illegal Check.

Post a reply to: David Bailey said there was no Vince Friese back in the day...they wouldn't allow it.
