Amazing job!! How did you get the swingarm to look like that? Just a lot of hand sanding? Or is it plated? I’m just starting my 1999 yz125 build!
Hey i have 2 NOS Vented Acerbis Number plates that are 96-98 Yz style If you interested.
,
I have to say i was looking at this and thought i spotted bubbles on the lower bit of the rad scoops, but on closer inspection it turns out its the reflection of your perfect drawer handles on the benches.
You do make it hard for the rest of us, but they are a joy to look at .
Have a good Xmas, and i will see you at Telford, unless we do an AX night again.
Yeah just lots of elbow grease - hours and hours of various filing, sanding and scotchbrite etc.
Not plated, and I've never bothered re-anodising a swingarm even though that is possible.
That's cool but not needed for this build. The one on it is actually the correct shaped front plate for the 98, not the UFO one.
The one you buy from UFO for this era YZ is actually the older 92 shape (guessing because mount points didnt change, UFO didn't bother updating the mould?!)
Haha! Cheers Phil, appreciate it.
You too - not sure on AX yet but will definitely see you at Telford and Hawkstone.
Outstanding.
Is the subframe Ti or stock powder coated?
Thank you! It's stock: blasted, heat treated and clear powdercoated. Closest you can get to a Ti look without spending $1k.
Amazing build Great job, I Love the front plate. I used to call the number they gave you the results really fast.
