They didn't have the winged seat version available yet when I ordered it, but if they did now I would recommend it.  This bike is very slim up top and for me at 6'3 I would like there to be more for me to squeeze up around my knees when standing.  IMG 8460.jpg?VersionId=htqHbFg1iOxLnn yZg k22vOvR

Is that Pax? We should go ride sometime! I live right by it, also on a 23 yz450f

Yes it is! I’m only about 20 minutes north. We usually try to ride every Tuesday and Thursday we can. I always park back near the intermediate track. Do you ever make it out during the week?

I am in between purchasing my buddies 2022 yz450f with low hours or just going all out and getting a new 24. What do you guys think? Worth it to spend more and get the new gen?

Sorry if it has been answered but I am a but confused. What years rear wheels will fit the 2023 YZ450f? I have found conflicting info on what fits. The part numbers are the same 2022 through 2024 with 2021 and lower being different. Will a 2020 YZ 450 rear wheel work be okay? I need to find a spare. Thanks.

What is the price difference between the two?

How picky are you with bikes?

Only difference I know of is in 22 the rear went to a tripple cross pattern. Either should bolt on just fine

Not sure what I will be able to get the 22 at yet. From calling around to some dealers I think I can get a 24 for around $9700 OTD at most. I am coming off a 2019 yz250f.

I just picked up a 24 yz450 a couple of months ago, coming off a 2020 yz250f.

I don't know about the 22, but the new 450 is incredible... best bike I have ever owned.

Get the new one!  It'll be worth it with resale and all that.  Not to mention that the bike is great.

That’s a great price. I’ve ridden the 22, 23 and 24. I’d get the 23/24 all day over the 22.  I was coming off a 23 Husky, so I’m very happy with the comfort of this bike.

Unless it’s a screaming deal like $7k for the old version, or money is tight. I think $9,700 for 23/24 is the way too go.

I'm coming off 2018 yz450 to a 23 rockstar husky ... hoping I like it. Was between the yami and husky.

Yes. It was stolen. Heres its new life on the streets of Youngstown. Cops dont care and i have a kid so im not trying to get shot while retrieving, even tho i know exactly where it sits.

Insurance paid me. I was in a hurry to replace because if it was within 30 days of claim closing, the insurance would cover the tax on a replacement. I couldn't find a decent deal on another yam but came across a killer deal on a 23sr. I haven't even ridden it yet besides in the yard and i liked it, but, i loved that blue bike.

That sucks, but you're wise to not take care of it yourself, then get shot.

Dont think for a second it hasn't crossed my mind. I have to many booms to catch a felony though. Not worth losing my guns or hunting rights. Bikes probably roached by now but at a minimum id love to completely disable it with a 4570 round to the cases.

Curious of those that had Enzo do there suspension.   I only have about 4 hours on mine after having it done.   Had them install there spring tubes, shock bumper kit, bladder cap, and shock compression adjuster.    I ride vet b/a depending on the day.   I'm 190 in street clothes.    They went up 1 rate in the front and back and changed the ics springs as well.   I ride northeast tracks that generally start out loamy but quickly turn hard packed with a lot of braking/acceleration bumps.

I had to go a fair bit out on the compression adjusters front and rear and slow the rebound down a bit from where there had it to be comfortable.

-4 on fork compression +2 rebound

Shock I am -4 ls -2 turns out hs and in 2 clicks on rebound.

Been running my forks flush on high speed tracks with the luxon 23mm offset and about 104 sag.   Seemed to get rid of the head shake I was getting in 4th gear down choppy straightaways.

This made the bike way less harsh trying to charge through big chop but still has good bottoming resistance on big flat landings.

The HS adjuster I have noticed has 6 1/2 turns of adjustment over the stock 2 so quite a bit more of fine tuning there.

Are they generally a little on the stiff side?  Assuming it will break in some as I get some more time on it as well.

It's definitely a major improvement over the stock setup as well.

Look at the Enzo set up as aspirational… with the new found confidence in your suspension you will go faster and then need it to be stiffer. Only half joking.

Your experience mirrors mine on several revalves done by Enzo on different bikes, maybe not 4 out on comp, but 2 or 3 until it breaks in, and also slowing rebound like you did.

The break in is part of why it feels firm now obv but also it’s meant for going Fast AF like Craig.

That map is very very close to Keefer's "Connection Torque" map, which is the one I've been using for a few months now.  Quite a bit mellower/vet-friendly than the stock map for sure.  I'll have to try out this other one to see if I can even tell the difference between it and Keefer's.

I have not tried the airbox hack.
