Why does this industry seem to attract these types of c*ck gobblers? We had one down here in DFW that owned TH Racing. Found out he actually died a few years ago. But I met his head Tech about 10 years ago and told me the scoop about how the owner was a complete fraud and even showed me how they would twist and pull on the engine bolts with a T-handle wrench to make it look like they actually split the cases and did something to the motor. When in all actuality the motor left the same way it came in.

MB, you already know how much shit I had to deal with him.

The thing I tried at VC is, you can be cool, and whatever, but the guy at the finish line, who IS race control decides.

Probably made fans and enemies that way, but we don't have 10 people like SCCA where I learned my trade, but after 15 years of success, I'd say I did OK.

Sad part about the SRAC was they had been around from the early 1970s and were a good organization but they got some of the wrong people running it and then someone started a new group the RMXA  that treated the riders the right way. Now they have the RMRA and they are very unorganized so racing in Colorado has been going down hill for a while. Sad

That is to bad. That sticker is probably from 1979 or 1980?

Yep that is one of the older style stickers 70s thru the mid 1990s, the newer ones looked better.

You and I obviously live in very different worlds.

There are people in this thread who have already gone down and seen him face to face and got their stuff back without conflict.

Now you guys think that’s such an outlandish suggestion.. it’s almost as if you’re on his side..🤷‍♀️🧐

I don't think anyone helped themselves to his tools or whatever else might have been laying around to cover their gas money to get there though...

Not picking sides or talking for anyone else, but in England where thisusername... and I are, if someone is going to cost you time and money - just to get back what's yours - after they have sat on it for a couple of years and ignored you completely after taking money off you, over promising and under delivering, you're probably going to expect something back on top, for all your inconvenience.

Whether it's forthcoming or not, it will often happen. That's all it is, no tough guy crap. It's about 50/50, half the people are just happy to actually get their stuff back in their own hands to pass on to somebody competent.

Boom!
debt collectors dont repo your 5k car and take off the full and current value of it.
There are costs involved.

The ‘sheriffs’ will collect anything in sight that appears to be yours in order to cover costs.

Nobody in any universe would have anticipated Varner,s workshop/ garage was in that condition.
I'm almost without words.

His Shop needs a do Over!

Mitch jumped out of his chair looking at this image. If someone is this unorganized and you have to physically go there to pick your engine and parts up, how tf do you find them? Is anything even labeled?

No wonder these engines weren’t getting finished and I can’t believe how patient some of you are. Seriously very commendable of all of you and Varner should be praying everyday that he still has all of his teeth and no broken bones as a reminder that stealing from people is not ok.

For the love of moto will some media outlet please cover this entire story. Could even be a documentary on YouTube with interviews etc. On his website he has a quote that says “Building the Best”. The documentary could be titled; “Building the Best with money from the rest” 🙃

Really wish the OP would update the Canadian MX Silly Season thread. I am dying to know who the MX101 mechanic roster.

Thanks
