A big thank you to Yamaha, all their support staff, and GH for a great 2 days of racing.

2 days of racing, free swag bags, tee shirts, steak dinner in the museum Sat night, awards on Sunday, all for $40.  Plus Yamaha demo day with all their new bikes, 2 Yamaha big rigs with all support staff assisting racers + demo riders.

Nice to see a manufacturer giving back to their customers.  Well done and much appreciated.

How was the turn out? I was planning on racing but still needed some extra recovery time from the World Vet crash. Looked like it would be a great and much needed event, plus something that we really haven't seen since the good ole RM Cup days! Bummed to miss it, hopefully it won't be the last of these.

There were a little over 150 entries.   It was epic as the track stayed perfect all day.  I was told it will be back in 2024 and will be bigger and better.   This is getting back to how Moto used to be.  15-20 min + motos, camping and bustin balls all night with buddies and just having a great couple of days at the track.   There were some sore and tired riders at the end of this one and I doubt anyone felt like they only got 10 min riding time like can happen at a normal race sometimes.

And the Villopoto boys got 1-2 in the Pdub class so it was fun to maybe see the next generation of future pro’s (no pressure little rippers) getting started.   They both have natural talent and it shows even at that young age.

Thank you to Lori and the staff at Glen Helen and Jennifer and Mike from Yamaha who not only hosted the event, but joined in on the fun and in Mikes case, took home a few wins.

Im already looking forward to next year.

For really not being advertised well at all, turn out was pretty decent for being only Yamahas. I was out watching and wrenching on Saturday and enjoyed it. Really made me want to race it next year. Signed the kids bikes up for BluCru and got all the swag stuff to bring home and surprise them with. Huge props to Yamaha for doing this!

RMT:  are you comfortable sharing Yamaha MIke's contact info?  Wanted to run a few questions by him regarding some involvement with VetMX (SC Oldtimers)

Sorry man, not something I would have.  Here is a captain obvious thought, call Yamaha USA and ask for him, they will put you through.  I’ve found success with that in the past.  I doubt Haiden D. would pick up if you asked for him but most normal office folks will.

I was there hanging out, and it was a great event! It seems everyone had fun!

I'll be racing it next year.

If you're planning on staying for dinner, be warned, it gets very cold there once the sun goes down.

Definitely a good time.
