My son will be 3.5 in the spring, absolutely fearless on his balance bike, so I want to bring him to the track, which has a little track for 50cc and staycycs. Should I get him a staycyc or an EE2? I’m hoping he develops alongside the electric bikes, so I’m never changing the oil and filters on any bike but mine!

just think of an ee2 as an electic PW50.  the ee2 will be MUCH more to handle for a kid that age unless he's huge for 3.

Yeah, EE2 is what I am leaning towards. He is big for his age (38 inches), late spring / early summer, he should fit fine on the EE2.

What height do kids get on PW50s or EE2?

Get a used Staycyc and buy the Ktm sx e. Buy the bike he can grow into. I have two boys that were 3 and 5 years old both riding the SX E. All i did was just change the modes. It has been the best investment i brought. They ride it in the neighborhood and no one complains at all. Both my boys transitioned from the staycy to the KTM no problem. My son was 4 in this picture.

Stacycs are cool, but they are basically over priced toys.  We have the new 20" with forks and it can't really handle hills, wet dirt, or tilled dirt.  Battery connection is super exposed to the elements also.  It's a great neighborhood bike.  Not much else.  That being said, the kids have fun on it.  Battery doesn't last very long either.

Yeah, that's my concern. It's not a "real dirt bike" by any means. Basically just his balance bike with a battery. The EE2 is more of a real dirt bike that would fit him until he can get on the SX-E5. I also assume resale value for these things will be pretty high.

Should be plenty big enough for an EE2. my kid was a tick over 41" in the spring he got a pw. The E2 is adjustable and they say 35"+.

I’d go with the EE2. We had a Stacyc 12 and it was awesome from 2-4, but it was outgrown at about 4(or shortly after), so your kid wouldn’t have much time on it. The Stacyc 16 and bigger seem kinda pointless, IMO. He should be on a real dirt bike by then.
