So I was able to go to my Amazon account and stop the auto charge that will end on 12/31.

Then I go back to the Black Friday special on peacock and get this

The deal is for new users only.  Just go set up a new free email account on yahoo.  It will take about 1 minute.  If you had an account linked to your current email address, it won’t work.

THIS ^^^  How is this hard?  This is not "jumping through hoops", but if you want to save about $50 for a few min effort than do it. It took 5 minutes to cancel my account and create a new one.  I already had another email address, but that would take another two minutes if I didn't.  I am no IT wizard and the first post told you how to do it.

Literally the definition of 'jumping through hoops'.

Thanks for posting this. I have a couple emails anyway, so I just signed up with the other, same name, same address, same CC, and their system didn't flag it. I hate auto-renew, so I "cancelled" the service right after paying, then cancelled the other account and submitted the request to delete all info, then entered the new login on the Roku stick and it worked a treat. Took all of five minutes.

Great tip!  I just went on their website and canceled the plan I paid for yesterday.  Not sure you can do this through the app, but I did it on their website.  I still have access to everything for the year I paid for ($19.99 one time charge), but the plan will expire rather than auto-renew at $59.99 on 11-23-24.  That way I can just sign up for another year at the Black Friday discount next year.

Also, I didn't realize I had several Peacock accounts (one with my main email address and one with my wife's from last year and the year before).  They weren't charging me anything, but since they still had an account associated with email addresses, that's why I had to use an alternate email address to sign up yesterday.  I'm thinking that next year I'll be able to sign up with my main email address since there is no longer an account associated with it.

Peacock has a Black Friday deal running at $19.99 a year.  If you already have an existing account, you’ll have to sign up using a different email address.  I just made a new yahoo email address before I signed up.  $20 for a full season of racing.  Just sign up now so we don’t have to see countless posts all year long full of people complaining about having to pay to watch.

Thank you SO MUCH for creating this thread!

I paid like $6 a month this entire year until a few weeks ago.  Now I’m set for 2024 SX and MX!

First time I got Peacock I used Apple Store to pay for the app. Was charged monthly.   This time I paid via credit card and got the deal.  Smart to cancel and continue to use, they hope you dont cancel in time.  Or forget.  lol

They still only accept Credit Cards from the US.... youtube next year again it is. Seems crazy to have to pay 8x more because I live up in Canada. Their loss I guess

Cheers for the heads up on the deal! Definitely well worth it to catch the full year of racing action.

I used vpn and used incognito browser to sign up. Used US address and then put my UK credit card and payment went through fine even though my sign up details didn't match my card
