Heck of a facility.

Owner isn't too pumped on Enzo. Maybe Enzo would not have burnt that bridge if he just called him back and explained what he was doing.

Don't know how anyone can blame Enzo, Star is a factory team and Club is a stepping stone team, should be happy for your guy getting a factory ride. Yeah sure, be a little bummed he left but to say "we don't want people like him on our team"...c'mon

Did you not watch the video?

Leaving isn't the issue, it's HOW he left that is the issue.

Having an agent just send a contract termination request out of the blue with no sort of a heads up right before the SX season starts is a dick move to a team that has supported you for years.

This wouldn't even be a conversation if Lopes did the respectable thing and sat down with club first and explain that he has a potential ride for star that he wants to take advantage of.

Lopes took the bitch way out.

Hopefully we get to hear what Phil has to say about it in Unphiltered. Wait, shouldn't this week's be up already?

It’s never easy to tell your employer that you’re quitting and leaving the position they entrusted you with. But as a man, you communicate your intentions and possibly leave the door open for future possibilities.

Pretty disrespectful to not even make a phone call.

I really like the club Mx team and the access they give with the YouTube. I really hope it didn’t go down like Brandon explained but obviously I have no doubt it did. Brandon’s a standup guy. As a man and an adult you should be able to shake Brandon’s hand thank him and tell him it’s a business decision. Would he be happy? No but he would have respected it. Taking the easy way out never pays off in the long run.

Yeah, I agree.  Any of us would have likely joined Star if we were in the same situation, but definitely should have told the team and preferably in person.  Having an agent that nobody had talked to before send an email is a full on bitch/coward move for a Team that has supported you for years......unfortunately in the world of texting/social media has created this with most young people now.  It's all about confrontation avoidance which is shitty and selfish.

MC touched on this in a recent podcast. He still personally calls up everyone he works with and has worked with in the past. He believes that type of communication is severely lacking in today's world. Every rider has an agent between them and their boss and in this case, zero communication skills.

I don’t think Enzo left club the first time on great terms either. Phil had to beg to get him back on the team in 22.

Wow, that is pretty weak not to even talk to the team. He’s put a lot of pressure on himself to do well this year, torching his old ride and taking a one year SX only deal with Star- live by the sword, die by the sword I guess 🤷🏼

I think the important thing to look at here is the fact that he had a ride (a very good ride with many more years ahead of him on that team) he decided to trade that in for a factory team (good for him) but it’s for a 1 year SX only contract. So.. what happens when he doesn’t perform or gets injured, where’s he go? Clubmx isn’t having him back and I’m sure word got around. That’s a damn big gamble to take. Stay with club for a few more years? Take a ride with star for six months and possibly never get a ride again? He made his choice he had to live with it. I would’ve went with the steady income doing something I love for many years to come.

Silly mistake from Enzo. Even more disappointing is the agent. You would think he would have some foresight to avoid a shitty situation for both parties.

Big fan of club content, I hope the team does well... would love for jmart to have an injury free year.

With enzo, going to star is a big gamble, if it doesn't work out I can see it being hard to find rides in the future.... and he's no where near being the top dog on that team either, he's going to have to really prove himself.

Agreed. Unfortunately I think this is going to come back to bite him.

But what if it does work out and he ends up in the championship title hunt in 24’…..him and his agent will look like the smart ones then. Star obviously puts more emphasis on winning in SX (by hiring JS & SR) than MX, so Enzo definitely fits their model. I would be soooooo pissed if I were Brandon too with the way it went down.

If he succeeds (race wins) nobody will remember it.  If he rides the same, Star will drop him and another team like Club will scoop him up no problem.  His speed is undeniable and only a few can do that.

Nah I don’t agree. Even if he does well who’s going to remember him after 11 rounds of outdoors? Until he commits to doing that series who’s hiring a 250 Sx only guy to a team with factory equipment? He’s doing himself no favors. Hey, if I’m wrong point it out in 8 months.

I didn't say factory equipment.  Club and other "B" Teams are not on factory equipment.

Well unfortunately if he doesn’t perform which I hope he does. It’ll be the last factory bike he races. It’s a learning experience and I hope it goes well, if not I don’t even see a good B team picking him up. There’s a lot of kids that will enter the paddock that are more valuable and put up the same results if not better. Will see what happens. Burning bridges is never a good thing and I personally believe it wasn’t a smart move.

Ha! Looks like Schock took a souvenir from his time at Phoenix...Cullin Parks riding vest.

I'm not much for buying merch but I gotta get me a Filthy t-shirt or hat.
