Unfortunately another RIP thread. Just read he drowned at his house. Rest In Peace
In his hot tub. The cops don't suspect drugs or foul play.
He was 54 years old.
WTF? That's crazy. Our world is in the upside down!
Sounds like it was like Whitney Houston type?
If you haven't already, read his memoir. It gets really deep. Poor guy had fought demons from a very young age, and somehow came out on the other side of them multiple times. RIP

Oh that poor guy that sucks. Falling asleep in a hot tub is an easy thing to do. Only 54 RIP
I've just woke up to see this on our news here. A damn shame. 54 ain't old.
Rest in Peace.
Chandler in Friends was my favorite..
He was a true friend…. Shame to be reading this loved the whole 10 yards
The last pic he posted on Instagram a week ago.
scary stuff. about 15 years ago i broke my leg and had some really bad pain. popped a perc and got in the hot bath. i don't know how long i was in there but i woke up choking on cold water.
I think if he "drowned" then his lungs would be full of water. Right now they are not saying so maybe something else?
I don't usually get caught up in "celebrity" deaths. People die every day.
He and Joey were the best characters on Friends. Pheobe was good too. Hated the pussified whiney Ross character.
A sober person falling asleep in a tub will wake up as soon as they start ingesting water. ....
With Mr Perry's history, I have no doubt that he had some help with....... ....
It's sad....
None the less. Did he pass and then tip in the water? Then, no breathing=no water in lungs. Sleeping, passed out, he'd still be breathing and his lungs would be filled with water. So, they could have ruled drowning right away but didn't.
RIP Mr. Perry, and thank you for all the laughs throughout the years.
If you haven't seen it yet, make sure to catch the movie Almost Heroes starring Chris Farley and him. It's pretty damn funny.
Damn...a whale could drown in a tub that big.
What's your theory ?
RIP Matt
I had to chime in on this one. First time we watched it at the theater, we were like "ehh". But through time, it is a classic for our family. We've watched it over and over. Some really funny scenes.
It was the last movie for Farley (I'm pretty sure). Maybe Matt's too?
RIP Mr. Perry.
Aw man that is really sad. Brings up some really cozy nice memories of watching Friends in the evenings with my family after finishing schoolwork and dinner. Really grateful for his contribution to that... surprisingly heavy hearted about this for someone that has been off my radar for years. Rest in peace Matt

It's funny how comedians will make this part of their routine, (or would have back in the day), and the people that give this a thumbs down will most likely tell you to go see the show.
Love the clip of him being interviewed out there where he says :
" Addiction is doing one armed push ups behind the door , waiting for you to be all alone "...
Nailed it...
I don't have it that bad ( functioning alcoholic)...
Some people are wired different
They are head over heals...
One drink means 15 not showing up at work...losing there family...Job...etc.
What?
Get up, go to work and shut the fuck up.
That's how it's done. Been doing it for years.
This is why I love this guy. ^
Last...
I wouldn't call that gig work
The Whole Nine Yards is one of my favourite films...Sad to think Mathew is gone, Michael Clarke Duncan (Frankie Figs) is gone and Bruce Willis is nearing the end.
They are saying it was likely a heart attack and then drowning. As going goes, I hope it was a peaceful way too go....he had a rough go of things despite all the fame and fortune.
It was an interesting book, and reminded me how lucky it can be, to be an anonymous suburban person sometimes... i.e. not famous, nor driven to "fame" through personal demons or desire.
So many books I've read on famous actors, musicians, sportspeople etc. struggling with life but the struggle almost always was the reason they got to be famous in the first place. The least likely to handle it seems to be the ones most likely to get there!
There isn't enough money in the world for me to desire being famous. It's a prison. It also makes you a target. Fuck that. Blissful anonymity for me.
Matthew Perry died of acute effects of ketamine, according to L.A. county medical examiner | CBC News
From the article…
The coroner said Perry was reported to have been undergoing ketamine infusion therapy to deal with depression and anxiety, and his last treatment was one and a half weeks before his death.
Perry had played pickleball earlier in the day, the report said, and his assistant, who lives with him, found him face down in the pool after returning from errands.
The assistant told investigators Perry had not been sick, had not made any health complaints, and had not shown evidence of recent alcohol or drug use.
That’s sad. He was taking prescription K to beat back an oxy problem and drowns in a hot tub. Most of us have lost friends and/or family to pain meds. It’s really messed up how a pharmaceutical company killed so many and it’s still going.
