I was able to get an update from a family member:

“He is the same as yesterday. He is in critical condition in the ICU. Not breathing on his own. We will still be checking his phone. If you want to text for updates but it will be a long recovery”

No new updates as of now. Don’t want to be overwhelming to the family. As soon as I get an update I’ll keep you guys posted

Todays update:

“ We don't need anything right now but nice of you to offer.  He is doing about the same but no worse.  He is at Riverside University Health System.  He is in ICU and can't have any visitors except for family. Thank you for your concern”

Damn you hate to hear stories like this. Head injuries are no joke.

Hopefully some positive news in the near future!

Does anyone happen to know the hospital he was taken to or what hospital riders are usually taken to from perris?

I'm not sure but I know it's a county hospital. maybe Riverside County Hosp The last time I had to go pick up my bros bike and truck at Perris, then go see how he was after he got carted away - Most of the patients in the ICU were handcuffed to their gurneys or beds and there were cops all over the place. I got carried out physically for raising my bro's bed and getting him some water.  I understood their point but he's a fucking Dr and was def not going to be operated on that night

Thanks so much for the updates. There are a few of us that were at the track and saw this watching and hoping for some good news.

Stay strong moto brother!

sucks to hear and sits a little heavy as often times I am alone at the track. Buddies show up later than me or pack it in and leave before me.

No problem, I can’t imagine how heavy it must’ve been to be there. There’s rumors that he was life flighted out. Is that true?

Thanks again for all the updates! They loaded him up pretty quick for obvious reasons! Never saw a helicopter! I was expecting one!

Yeah, I was expecting that too, but I guess they felt they had it covered with the regular ambulance. He was non-responsive when they put him in so it was tough to watch.

This really sucks. Thanks for the updates and if you can please pass word to the family that we at Vital are all pulling for him. Huge strength coming from this place. The lad is strong and he will pull through.

You’re welcome, the family will know more tomorrow evening and I will update you guys as soon as I know. Moto community always supports each other and I love to see it. I mentioned to them that I can start a go fund me for Michael, but I did not receive a response to it. Not sure if it’d be out of line to start one without permission of the family? I have lots of co workers and possibly more guys on here willing to donate to him.  Money isn’t their concern right now but I would imagine it’d be nice to see the support he receives.

Best to focus on Michael's health for the time being and if the family needs financial support in the future to cover any costs then for sure, many here will chip in.

Keep fighting Michael.

You’re right, just feeling helpless at the moment. When the time is right I’ll do what I can.

Maybe they didn't want to wait for a copter. It would most like likely be requested when an engine arrives so there is a delay. If he is in real bad shape loading in the ambulance and going immediately can save time vs. waiting 15-20 minutes for a copter.

False. When used correctly, most of their flights are unstable patients.

I Digress  I do not work for that Medical Director so i am unsure of the Protocol for this .    But For all of the Agencies i have worked for and flown with  it has always been we will not fly a unstable patient .   Now that is kinda a grey area because i can  make a unstable  be stable  long enough to load and go .

In the end  I just pray that this rider pulls through and has a complete recovery .
