Anyone notice how long TB's header is? Here's a shot of Plessinger's outdoor setup for comparison. I wonder if he gets fully customized engine packages for this sort of event/discipline.

Edit: Not sure if he's on a 350 or 450, but I am assuming a 450 for sake of comparison.

Definitely. I used AP's because the contrast is more stimulatingLaughing Even still it looks to be quite a bit longer than Webb's too (there's a joke in there somewhere).

It’s not the size of the pipe, it’s the way you heat it up until it turns purple 🤗💜

Different brands, but yea tb and the big name freeride guys have bikes and motors built basically for that discipline

I noticed his header that day and thought it was oddly long as well haha Here are some photos of Tyler from the event! It was such a sick event especially here in the midwest.

Tyler and Colbys QP bikes are pretty built, might even be bored out if I remember correctly. I ran a high comp piston and felt pretty underpowered in comparison. Tyler ran his whip bike all weekend at Imagination which I think just had a piston and an ignition.

Did anyone actually go?  We almost did but had other stuff going on.  Ft. Scott is where my in-laws live so we are up there few times a year.  Just wonder how the crowd was?  Probably try and make it next year.

I'm as confused this year as last year. Is there results published anywhere or should you watch the video series and is that delayed?

Have they run the event already but results will be published later?

Embargo until the 8th.

The second video will be released tomorrow, and the full event on Sunday.

Love this event and no disrespect to all the other riders, they are absolutely nuts. But Tyler definitely needs the competition from Hodges and Raha to make it a bit more interesting. Verstippen did great though

Great eye!

My guess would be that Tyler is looking for maximum torque to get over those 200ft gaps without breaking traction on the face of the jump. With how dry and dusty that bike park was, you would want something that can lug and pull hard at low to mid range.

You are a gnarly dude, from foam pits and ramps a few weeks ago to dirt flips - insane progression

In the Instagram videos I've seen Tyler's bike sounds like a 250 or 350, sounds too wrapped out for 450.

Did anyone from here go to it? What was it like in person? I was really considering it.

I asked the same thing and nobody said they had.  I was curious on the crowd my in laws live up there and I wouldn't think it would draw a ton.  Probably try and go next year almost went this year.

I was there and it was much better in person. They can only show so much in a 1 hour show with commercials. There was a lot of build up and interviews between the sessions and the food and beverages were awesome. The crowd was great and the spectator area was a great viewpoint with a huge big screen. I’m guessing at 2000-2500 spectators. The Kansas people were very welcoming and it was a good break from the busy California highways and traffic. The riders were signing autographs and mingling with spectators after the event. If you get the opportunity next year, do it!

Red Bull usually NAILS productions like this, but the entire thing was off this year. The riders, course, and performances seemed incredible, but all the videos I saw were pretty amateur.

Even Weege "announcing" the final comp was awkward. Seemed to me he was watching film and trying to announce like he was there, and then even the timing was off on a few runs. He was a few seconds ahead of the actual action. Masekala was not a good fit either, in my opinion.

Did the production team change this year? I don't remember noticing the same weirdness last year or the years before.

I have been the last 2 years and its a pretty cool event.  Plenty of viewing areas, although it is a large compound so its hard to see everything jump.  Riders are pitted right where you walk in and were always interacting with the crowd.  My boys(8 and 11) love the event.  Its always windy and dusty but at least the wind was manageable this year.  Last year they cut it short due to high winds.  They limit the crowd(1500-2000) but it did not seem crowded at all this year.  Def worth going to at least once...the guys/girl are insane!

Colby is a student of the game and really studies how to get better.  He was winning on some pretty stock stuff in QP for a bit, the week before one of the X games he asked me to find him a used rear tire so it wouldn't grab on the edges as much up the ramp even.  It was far from factory and he was using his crazy drive to win and moto talent to succeed and it was working.  He wasn't even running suspension different from his normal FMX stuff for awhile.

With Hodges and TB pushing him and gaining experience, Colby added his brilliant mind to the mix IMO.  Speed at the top of the ramp obviously = height but he felt if he went any faster at the ramp he would have too much g-force and basically blow off the bike, so he needed an engine that would ramp up as he went up the ramp to get height.  So yes, we built him a 480 acceleration monster that he took to Nitro, the moon, and gold.

After that, all his hard work finally paid off and he got a steady paycheck and a Husky deal finally.  Hell, he even has an awesome mechanic.  I'm guessing he can get custom spec tires or ship in his spec instead of asking a random sponsor he barely knows about sourcing a part the week of the event haha.

Just wanted to verify the bored out stuff.  I don't think he'd mind me sharing 5+ years after.  Keep killing it Patrick, bringing video games to real life I guess!  Style is sick, youtube stuff is a good watch too, and you delivered huge at imagination for us fans.
