I just don't see it necessary for ML to be swinging his big dick around threatening to ban people when nobody at all was being disrespectful and were simply asking questions when we're ALL curious

Your post was clipped when the original you responded to was clipped. It's how our system works. All replies automatically get wiped out.

"swinging his big dick"

I don't want to be moderating a thread about the passing of someone I used to be fairly close with, last fucking thing I want to be doing today.

I stated "If anyone wants to be disrespectful, I will perma-ban you." I didn't realize that telling users to not be disrespectful )and letting them know there are consequences) to a man who has just passed is me "swinging his big dick".

I stated that as a warning. If you feel as if I targeted you with that comment, then maybe you were being disrespectful. Otherwise, it doesn't involve you.

"we're ALL curious"

No, we're not all curious. I'm worried about a man who just lost his son, another man who just lost his brother and a whole lot of people who lost a close friend.

I can not help you.

Huge bummer. I know a lot of people here are going to immediately think of some of the bad choices he had made in his past, but anyone who has run into him within the last few years knows he was a nice person. I bumped into him multiple times at Glen Helen while he was there coaching kids on minis and he was always awesome to the kids, the parents, and to me. RIP

That was my same experience, he was always super nice at Comp Edge and Glen Helen.

Worked with Jeff a little bit when he had his last ride on KTM 250s...the kid could barely walk the track during track walk...but, man...he could still ride!

Stoked to have spent time with him.

He will be missed.

One of the funnier stories I have involving him: We were talking and I looked away for a second at something happening on the track. I the hear, “hey… hey…. Hey look…. Check it out….” I turn back around and he’s got his shoe off and is showing me how tweaked his foot is from all his injuries. Just randomly with no warning from him. It was pretty nasty but we were both laughing. Jeff was a funny guy.

This is bigger than moto. This is bigger than the controversies. This is about losing someone from our community who we've known pretty much since he was born. I will always remember Jeff ( and Mike) for the rest of my life. The first time I rode a dirt bike in the US was in Castaic Lake in January 1996, Jeff and Mike were there on KX60s. They were so small. Matter of fact, they scared the s*** out of me the first time I saw them ride. They were riding together and flying for being 2 very small little dudes. There was a big double there. I saw them exiting the turn wide open getting to the double and I never thought they were gonna jump. When I saw them not letting off my heart stopped, the feeling you get before something bad gonna happen, but a few seconds later they both cleared the jump no problem. I remember looking at my dad and saying who the hell are those kids. That was my first experience with the Alessi brothers which I'll never forget. It has been almost 30 years but I remember it like it was yesterday. It's really a tragedy and my condolences to the family.

This is horrible news. My condolences to the Alessi family. Tragic. So much death around me lately. Last week my cousin. Two days ago a friend on his Harley. Now to hear about Jeff… just makes you think about your mortality. Very sad to hear. Just hits home.

Great post, DV. No doubt Jeff would have been proud to know one of the world’s top pros was shocked by what he and his brother were doing on 60s!  That’s the Jeff Alessi we’re here to remember.

Man. I knew I'd come here and see someone shallow enough to make a snide remark. Thanks for douching the douches ML. Any death is a sad, but a young man suddenly losing life is tragic. Regardless of any screw ups along the road, jeff was a normal dude. Weve all fd up one time or another. May he ride in peace across clouds we can't yet comprehend. The big guy has a plan for all of us and maybe he was called home for better reasons well never know. Praying for peace for his family.

You're an immature clown. Period. You ARE being disrespectful. When 99.9% of people in this thread agree, maybe wake up and realize you are the issue...

Since you asked, let me spell it out for you (if you're still here).

You were disrespectful by asking the question, making it all about you, because you were too impatient to wait for an announcement you needed to know now now now, me me me.  Then, you double down and gaslight pretending to be the victim.

Classic Alessi tale. Thanks for sharing that. It's a perfect example of how the boys made a lot of us smile-cringe-smile as they raised the bar on those little bikes.

Alot of you acting like you're the perfect person and now that he's gone you play nice and say all the nice things when I bet 95% of you talked so much shit about Jeff back in 2013 with the laser gate bullshit. The thread about it just got deleted and I recognized several of your usernames were in that thread talking mad shit about him. So don't fuckin get on me for asking a simple question when most of you are fuckin hypocrites

RIP 801 and prayers to the Alessi family. I remember racing with the Alessi brothers back in the early 2000s at several CMA races, from Santa Maria to Madera. Amazingly talented pair and Jeff was such a character! Ride In Peace, Jeff!
