I was fully expecting James to gap Dungey after he passed him, and Dungey just gripped it and got right back on James' tire...

This could be a really great season!

Great speech, the dude stepped it up. Felt bad for Chad, Stroupe kind of ruined Chads life. I agree AHRMA, but it was kind of smart not to, RD may have fell and I wouldn't want to piss Bubba off this early.

Dungey is easily the best interview after the race. The kid really has his shit together.

I dont think Stewart will lose sleep over it, but he definitely will think about Dungey as a threat.

James has more under the hood. He is just riding smart and wanted to get thru A1 on the box. I like this more patient James, now hes riding like a Champion.

championship riding?? yes......

but.... i remember the days of Showtime.....

1. pull holeshot
2. run and hide
3. win by 20 seconds
4. total domination

Blubba has the speed to be dominant, but does he know that?? letting Dungey lead him over half the main then almost take it at the end does nothing but bring down Blubba's confidence, and skyrocket Dungeys.......

How bad is James going to look, always bragging he's the fastest rider on the planet, always wanting to be awarded number one without actually racing...

And here comes a rookie, and in his first try almost beats Stewart straight up?

TWO THINGS:
Stewart had fear in his eyes on the podium
And Roger DeCoster is a frickin' genius!

I think dungy is very confident but as the season goes on and James(and Poto)gets back into racing shape things may be very different. I like Dungy though so I wish him the best.........he would make a great Champion; however I would like to see Stewart get at least one moreWink

I second that and I think RC and Emig agree as well if you listened to the commentary. James was being patient and hasn't raced in a while so as the season goes on we will see the extra speed that seperates him from the rest. You see, if he had gone out and went balls to the wall and fell we would be dogging him out about that so the man can't win for losing with some folks.....oh well we'll see who's in the lead points wise come Las Vegas.......and I doubt very seriously that Reed can do what James did last seasonWink

James is not in Racing shape? Will we hear that he's 60 or 70% after his first loss?

Yeah, Dungey really seemed to relax once he was second and just focus in on that zone. He's got it together, that's for sure!

yep the national chamionship and his mxdn ride have really put him in the right place, he has the total package right now, I thought he would be around reed and rvs pace but to be faster than stewart, unreal ride, and this is only the beginning... I bet pourcel wished he moved up now!

Would expect nothing less from a Noob. Keep up the good work and good luck, we're all counting on you.
