With a million dollars on the line, you bunch ‘‘em up and let Kenny come in for the takeout. Or, start dicing with Jett and hope he goes down. Would have been a better result instead of pushing hard and crashing out.
Unforced errors seem to be the norm with Chase. Same with El Hombre.
Unfortunately he bunched himself up.
Isn't that against the rules? Isn't that manipulating the outcome of a race?
Not when it’s done properly, you just have to be smart about it. Lap after lap I was waiting for Chase to slow up, I can’t believe he didn’t. That was a huge missed opportunity as he could have easily came out on top.

How exactly do you bunch them up? It’s not like they’re cars on a single lane road.
First sign of Chase slowing up and either Ken or Jett would have blown straight past him.
On top of that, after what happened at Chicago I doubt anyone is going to risk deliberately slowing up
I was thinking the same thing. Give KR the chance to run it on JL hopfull take themselfs out. It was a million dollar option.
It is pretty wild how many races Chase has thrown away by crashing. Hoping things change for him on the KTM.
Very easily. Put a little more thought into it.
When chase is leading and the camera is not on the leader and then u see the yellow flag everyone already knows what happened. Before this year I might think a lapper or anyone else but it's so often now even ricky and James ain't surprised.
Yes, the race was not in his hands. If they finished before his crash, Jett wins with a 1-2 over chases 3-1. Kenny wanted a piece of Jett and a little delay by Chase would have created that opportunity.
The sand ruts bite Chase.
The time Jett jumped and landed on the other side of the yellow marker on the mound separating the inside and outside lines I thought for sure it was going to bite him too!
I was thinking the same thing. He should’ve let Jett and Ken get close towards the end. Ride defensively to hold Jett up just a little bit and that lets Ken be right there. No need to try and take Jett out or anything dirty. Just bunch em up and hope it plays out in his favor.
It amazes me how many people have difficultly understanding this concept. It's very f*cking simple. All Chase needed to do was slow up and he would've had a 50/50 chance of taking home the money instead of a 0 percent with finishing out front.
If chase would have tried to bunch them up the two faster riders would have passed and gapped him
he’s his own worst enemy don’t need bubba to say tuck the wheel son he does it on his own
Well, he use to be trained by the OG win or crash guy.....
It's possible, but unlikely if Chase bunched them up in the right sections of the track. Chase had the speed the second moto and to do this properly you don't bunch them up in sections where they can easily pass. Chase gapped both of them and could have backed it off a little to let them catch up. This is when Kenny would have gone in for some contact.
Watch the press conference, Jett said that Chase "proved him wrong" when Chase dropped them in the second moto. They were talking in the rig before the race and Jett said you can't drop anyone on this track because everyone is so close. Chase said "yes you can", and he did. This is why Jett mentioned it the press conference.
When was the last time we saw Ken go in for some contact? It was when he put his arm in Webbs rear wheel. Neither Ken, Jett or Chase is that kind of rider..
Chase was more interested to proove a point speed-wise than the money. Jett was more interested in the money than the speed in the second moto. Simple as that.
Pit Row
Ken had already mentioned he was prepared to go in and make the contact. There was big money on the line.
Ken says a lot of things…
I have no doubt Ken would have drove it in exactly like he said he was prepared to do, especially after the baby gift. He just needed the right opportunity and Chase could have created it.
He had two full motos of opportunity to do it? He was as close as one second a couple of times, and in the first moto he was ahead of Jett until Jett passed him on the OUTSIDE.
had it been Barcia that were in Ken shoes, he would have made it happen, but Ken is a classy rider and let the racing speak for it self, as it should be.
A lot can happen in 1 bowl turn.
He needed some of Jett’s big brains
