Denmark is out:

"The sporting management of Denmark’s Motor Union, together with the sports commission Motocross, has chosen to withdraw the Danish team from this year’s MXoN. This is based on the fact that a number of incidents have been observed at the weekend’s DM-A, where extremely unsportsmanlike behavior has been shown, which is incompatible with representing DMU and Denmark.

Over the past month, many resources have been used to assemble a Danish team, which has been a challenge due to cancellations and injuries. Therefore, it is extremely unfortunate that DMU feels compelled to draw a line in the sand and cancel this year’s MXoN."

What is the 'extremely unsportsmanlike behavior' all about?

Magnus Smith decided to pull out of the Danish team due to an old injury on his leg that's still not healed completely. No idea about the unsportsmanlike behavior.

It is about Mathias Jorgenson, he has a long post on his facebook about it. I don't speak danish so it is a bit of a guess, but it involves the championship in mx2 that Magnus Smith lost on 1 point to Jorgensons teammate. The final race was a mix between mx1 and mx2 and jorgenson got a pitboard signal and there is a lot of commotion about that.

I didn't find anything. Maybe he deleted it. Weird deal.

So using my Windows translation:

As you can see, DMU / SK chooses to withdraw the Nations team due to the lack of competition. Unsportsmanlike performance at A-DM in Næstved. Earlier in the day, I received similar mail from DMU.

Now I can't shut up anymore, what more do you want? - justification follows.

There have been repeated dissatisfaction / hets towards felt Racing / me as a person. & I have known that one should not step aside at all in the slightest, then it would have fatal consequences.

DMA Svendborg, I lose my neck collar in a crash and it hangs on my stomach, my mechanic runs over to the convention leader and asks what to do in such a situation and whether he should pull me in or the like, the convention leader reports back that there is probably nothing to do and that he did not think anything would happen, As a result, I get off the track and get Disked directly when I get out. (I should have read the relement and known better, but we tried in the situation to inquire about the right thing)

Training day at næstved - I inquire if it is possible to stop drivers on the track wearing yellow vests, just as one of the club's own members did = train other drivers. And there I got avide I certainly was not allowed to, and the indebted person was only allowed to because he was a member. I.e. The rules can be bent if it is for the benefit of club members ?

DMA Naestved - Already on the way to the waiting zone, one judge stops me to tell me that they absolutely do not want to see any bad driving what so ever and I JUST had to drive nicely, which I tell him that of course I should and that I was there on an equal footing with all the others, namely to race! I run 4 pcs heats and for the superheat just before the start I am then pulled aside along with my 2 pcs mechanics because "some" should have come and told the judges that my mechanics in the previous heat ( alså mx2 heat) should have written that I should drive it in front of the cows of the track. which is ABSOLUTELY not true.. When but with fierce discussion, they are asked not to stay on the track pavement and wait in the equestrian yard. It was because more people should have seen it and therefore repotted it. Now we just have to remember, I / WE are on a pitch where we DO NOT FEEL WELCOME AT ALL, And it is one of the club's drivers who might go and win gold if they could manipulate the results. I.e., My mechanics should have repeatedly written I should drive people off, BUT without a single one in a rep zone ( where EVERYONE stands with their phones to check times ) should have been able to take a video / picture of the episode, SO here you choose to judge by what the majority, ie the Naestved People think they have seen.

Shouldn't run ? - Some people don't think I should have raced this weekend in the MX2 class at all? say what.. "My goal had always been to finish on the podium in both classes, I wanted to test my form and also race as much as possible before MXON in France, I had done long enduro heats, I had done some rounds of the World Championships to prepare. And this was also a piece of my preparation..

I am Possessing a 3 hour long drone recording from ALL the heats I have run. with ALL the matches I had in mx2 first & second heat. and you can see pitboards on 99% of the recording all the time..

AND! - The people who allegedly complained about this are at the very other end of the Rep zone and show the Pitboard.

I DEMAND proof of the strong accusations because I can prove otherwise.

- A FEW drivers also jumped for red White flag at the start of MX2 second heats without consequence.

I don't think this is a fair statement/conclusion at all, as I believe that if something would have happened, the referees would have handled it on the pitch.

I KNOW we have ours straight. I have that on film !

- the individuals I thought SK/DMU owed it to explain what events they refer to

Here's a small excerpt from the day.

Wow...

9/25/2023 9:23am

What’s up with Forato, Guadagnini, Renaux, Braceras and H. Lawrence? They didn’t race the last race.

Team Slovakia's Tomáš Kohút injured his knee last weekend and won't be able to line up at Ernée. He's replaced by Jaroslav Katriňák.

Braceras hurt his triceps after a crash. He should be fine.

Guadagnini ripped his calf in Maggiora without crashing. He will do everything to get fit in time.

Forato has been sick all week and after a crash on Saturday decided not to line up on Sunday. He should be fine.

Renaux will be ok for Ernée too.

Wilson Todd has been riding great this year. Would be a more than decent fill-in

The loss of Guadagnini is going to hurt Italy's chances...

Wilson Todd is not bad, but he's not Hunter.  Still no update on Hunter either, it may be a non issue.  But he was hurt bad enough to not ride the single most important race in his career so far.  With only 2 weeks to get ready, I think that's going to be tough...

I don't think Bonacorsi is a downgrade at this moment. Newly crowned EMX250-champion, a great British GP,... Guadagnini was struggling with riding fitness anyway, so maybe Bonacorsi was the best choice to start with.

Hunter was hurting bad no doubt, but single biggest race of his career so far?
I’d think after winning the SX and Outdoor titles this year, and potentially being part of Australia’s best ever chance at MXdN, SMX would rank 4th on that list.

Team Austria will not be attending the event.

Michael Kratzer doesn't feel fit enough after suffering a double open pelvic fracture awhile back. It needs more time to heal properly.

Johannes Klein also tore his ACL while practicing.

In a recent released GateDrop interview Max Nagl said that the descision was made and that he was already selected for Team Germany and then out of nowhere the team changed it's decision and took Koch instead. To this day he still doesn't know the reason.

That's pretty lame and fucked up. That might have been his last MXON. What a punch in the face for someone who was this loyal over all these years.

Very strange. Maybe Kenny had a word in this to put one of his best buddies on the team (just speculating him).
Nagl beat Kock all year in ADAC and won the title over him. A lot more experience in general and at this event, did better than Kock last year at Red Bud. There's literally no reason to not pick him...

Agree, I figured there had to be a schedule conflict or something for it not to be Nagl.

I’m just saying 20k is a lot of money to spend to go and get the hell kicked out of you. Said it multiple times it’s just my opinion, I’m sure he was asked and I am sure he has his reasons not to go. I’m not privy to that info just like the rest of you, just playing devils advocate.

Ok, well after this years race is concluded we will reconvene and if I’m wrong I will bow at the feet of your all encompassing knowledge and foresight. 😂🤙🏻 But… the way I see this years racing shaping up it would be difficult for USA to podium. There are some very strong teams this year and we don’t have the manpower currently to compete to our potential.

Well Flint, seems I was correct. Thanks for playing, good effort USA just didn’t have our best foot to put forward. Congrats to France, they were pretty dominant at home.
