I feel I read or heard on a podcast that there will be a 2024.5 with electric start. I thought I read it on RacerX observations but could not find it. Is there any truth to this Also I know Matthes mentioned after Ken Raced his one outdoor and stalled. He spoke to I would assume Chris Wheeler that said they were gonna put e start on bike? Sorry for another Suzuki post just curious..

Keefer said 24 would be electric start but that was bad info he got. I think the 24.5 think was a joke but hopefully not.

If true.  Seems like they would need to shed some weight to a bike that is already the heaviest in it's class before adding more weight.

I'm not one of the "Suzuki bashers"... the RMZ is a solid bike, would love to see Suzuki throw some $$$$ at it.

Most of its weight stock trim is the exhaust. But the engine casings in that thing are what’s heavy ultimately, and probably a little of the aluminum fuel tank. So swap out for a carbon tank, exhaust, hubs, hardware, seat foam, and I’m sure it is down 5-10lbs from stock. I vaguely remember hearing Reed mention it wasn’t the lightest but it road light and it was a good bike from his JGR Suzuki

So a star yamaha cannot win by your logic, or a factory Kawi, right?

The sexiest ones aren't always the petite ones.  Some people like a little meat on the bone.

I swear the damn stock exhaust could double as a boat anchor. I don't think some understand exactly how big of a weight difference there is between the stock muffler and an even just an FMF 4.1 Stainless slip on.

Wait til Peanut M&M's chimes in. He has some connections to Suzuki Japan R&D. Last he posted was that Suzuki had hired an MX test rider but no news about a new bike.

Don't even have to "do it up" to be a good bike. My 2014 is just as competitive as any bike out there. It is all stock except valving and a Yosh exhaust.

In all honesty, I had about 25 hours on the 17 I had last and I never once had an issue with the clutch. I'm also not a clutch abuser so that may have something to do with it
