I have the KTM PowerParts PHDS setup with ProTaper EVOs and really like it. To me it seems to take some of the impact and vibration away and makes the stock air forks feel better. I have large hands and have been running the ODI rogue soft compound grips for the last several years. This combination is so much better for my hands and wrists. If you have medium to large hands I highly recommend these grips. When I get a new bike with the thin lock on grips I have to change them 1st ride.
I have Xtrig + PHDS + stock husqv. pro taper bar on my fc250 2023 and it is much better than stock, helps with my wrist pain
I thought xtrigs were a lot more rigid than the stock triple clamps. Figure they would beat you up. The factory clamps seem more plush
Appreciate the feedback guys I ended up ordering the Xtrig setup, went low key black in color. I have a suspicion the carbon protapers are on the stiff side also so going to try a set of evo's also to compare....Thanks!

Just ordered, thanks for the heads up!
The carbon ACF ProTapers are supposed to flex as much as the EVOs but not sure if this is true. I have EVOs on my 350 and ACF on my 300 and both feel good to me. Have not swapped from bike to bike to test though. I think you will be happy with that setup!
Someone told me to remove the end caps from the ACF bars? Did you leave them in or remove them?
If you’re looking for more comfort through the bars, check out mako 360 mounts. More common in the off-road world but I have them on my 350 and only ride moto. Helped a lot with vibration and comfort. Only issue is lack of bar pad if you don’t run bars with a crossbar.
I left the cap on the clutch side, removed on throttle side. I am going to ride the carbon vs the evo back to back, when I do I will pull both caps
I left them in. Didn't look like they were supposed to be removed to me. I know people complain about not being able to run wrap around handguards with them but not a problem for moto. I really like all the extra room for the controls with them, and able to run your levers really far in.
This was my first time using a program like this and really liked how the graphics came out. I couldn’t decide between this and another kit so I guess I’ll have both.
my shock is at jbi for a revalve and bladder kit to match the forks, really looking forward to getting back to the track. If the back end doesn’t settle down I guess I’ll have to go the rep linkage route
Does anyone know if the xtrig phds oem mounts work on the gasgas factory edition clamps?
Rode my 23 with the full Xtrig setup and love it. Not just cause I spent $800 love it, but I really felt an improvement. It took the "edge" out of my front end and just felt great to ride. The bar mounts also did help with vibration and my hands and wrist felt better after a moto. I bought some evo's to try over the carbon protapers on my bike but did not try them as I was so happy with where the Xtrigs got me. Thx to those who's info helped me pull the trigger on buying the clamps
I seriously don't mind this air fork.....I actually kinda like it especially when I am pushing a pace on the track. Its does have me searching for FE traction more than I did on my 22 YZF in dry conditions.
Really like this bike so far, I've noticed the shock high speed, and fork height can really help find your sweet spot
Thanks for sharing!
Just curious, what offset are you running with your Xtrig clamps? I think they are adjustable right? 22mm (stock) vs 24mm
Hey Prida before I bought the clamps I was able to get the bike working well with the 22mm so I just stayed with that and bought the fixed 22mm they offer. Dropping my forks a bit (slightly more than 1 bevel) and going 1.5ish HSC on the shock got me slightly more stable than stock and still turning well for me.
I think if you raced high speed off road occasionally those adjustable clamps letting you go 24mm would be really cool
Im more than happy with how the backyard graphics came out.
I got my shock back from jbi so I’ll be testing it out at the track tomorrow. I’m still going to put more time on the bike before messing with linkage lengths and the split clamps
That came out great. Looks killer!
Pit Row
Looks good! Hope it rides good also!
So this is dumb of me, but the first time riding it at the track felt absolutely amazing, then the second time I checked my sag before I went out and it was 109, I set it to 106 like most people suggest and I didn’t piece this together, but that’s when I noticed the rear end feeling more harsh and the front just not feeling right.
fast forward to yesterday and I’m messing with the sag on my cr. Same thing, sag set to 105 and my front end is really twitchy.
I check set my sag by myself so I do it sitting down, but i tried it while standing with my hands off the bars and was at 100 on the cr. I’m going to set it tomorrow morning while standing and I’m really hoping the ktm feels like a million bucks, because 100% stock with 109 felt really good to me
Just as I predicted the bikes that where saucem last year are going up for sale…
Saucem?
Amazing, guys that bike bikes every year sell the one they rode for a year.
Too bad they are not buying anymore 350's.
It is not in your head. That is what most of us have felt. If myself and my friends were running stock linkage it seems we all end up around 108 to 110 sag. However, I went to a PR2 linkage and now I can run 105 and feel much better than stock. There is something about these new bikes and the front end feeling harsh if you are not setup exactly right.
+1 on the 108-109 sag. I went to the adjustable Luxon longer link that dropped the rear end 8mm and set sag to 100mm. I liked the feeling of the shock sitting higher in stroke but see height felt lower and more balanced. This set up needs some fork adjustment to balence out all the weight on front wheel.
I set it at 106 at the track and chased front end settings the whole day. However I didn’t change the sag and will be messing with that next. The jbi settings and bladder on the shock seem to be a big improvement so far
Hey Joe. I was the one messaging you about the 350 on IG the other night. What length on the luxon did you find up liking? To drop the rear 8mm I’m assuming only 1-2mm longer. I haven’t installed the luxon yet
I believe I used the 3 dot flip chip for 156.2 which is the close to the husky linkage length. But I have KTM knuckle and shock. With this set up I was able to be 1.5 - 2 lines of forks up in clamps. From this point if you feel "balanced", you can adjust compression and rebound settings for bump absorption.
Billy said the change at the link is less dramatic than a change at the knuckle. For example a 1mm on the link might be 2mm seat height, but 1mm on the knuckle could be 3.5 - 4 on seat height(not real numbers).
Seems like a lot of posts about shock/linkage setup and questions/issues. Anyone try the REP rising rate linkage for the new generation KTM's? They claim you do not have to change your shock spring rate and it changes the ride height 4-5 mm and it gives a more linear curve. MXA had a good review of it. They claim "test riders quickly felt improved comfort in the initial phase of the stroke. The suspension felt more compliant on small, square-edged bumps, and rear-wheel traction was increased." So there ya go!
