Stands were 90% full and then this dumbass jumps in to try and compare to the debacle in Turkey....How much was that purse in Turkey again...
I’ve rewatched this race a couple times now and holy shit, there’s so much happening each race that I keep picking up on. The coolest part is that it didn’t feel like I was watching supercross and it didn’t feel like I was watching motocross. They actually nailed the “hybrid” aspect after all.
I almost want to piece together a mashup video of all the passes and different lines that set up passes because there was some awesome racing happening.
Also it was nice to see them only lapping a few riders vs. lapping up to 7th place. Seems like everyone is out there putting in the work each lap to get the best spot they can rather than going through the motions.
The lack of lappers was definitely a great thing.
The only thing about the entire race that seemed odd to me was the number of 12 year olds racing 65s. Is that something that’s normal? I only knew one kid who rode a 60 past 10, and that was only because his parents wouldn't get him a new bike.
Missed it live and just watched the replays, the racing was brilliant. Reassuring that Jett didn't come out and immediately stomp everyone, and it was also great to see Roczen riding with some aggression and confidence. He looks so much stronger mentally on that Suzuki and is really reestablishing himself as a top guy

Just another thing I noticed on a second watch, Moto 1 results in the premiere 450 class: Top 6 is 6 different manufacturers. The sport really does feel like it’s in a good place right now.
I had never watched movie that but just did LOL
I must have been tired last night, well I was, late in Sweden...
..or maybe I had too high expectations but I think the racing/the track was not too exciting. Felt very narrow, maybe not?
Deegan, he was impressive! One thing I noticed, or think I noticed that his bike is really fast, he is very light or he turns the throttle much more aggressively (more) than others since on straights he was usually the one that had the upper hand. Straight before finishing line, he was able to power by ppl, even other Yamahas. Maybe super good at getting power to the ground?
I now go on with very high hopes for next weekend
was cool they let people get up on the fence during the racing. Thats the reason for some of the empty seats but it seemed pretty packed. Loved that the actually opened up fan fest of Friday as well. That allowed me to see and talk to the riders i wanted to with no crowd. Shit i didnt even bother going to the pits on Saturday just rolled in 30 min before the opening ceremony and chilled.
Quite packed. Seemed to run out of beer! Parking took forever in that “this place is packed” kind of way.
Also, we were in the pits long after we were supposed to be - no one cared. Got to see a couple of the riders rolling out with their suitcases, the rapid tear down of the trucks, etc.
Overall great experience. My only knock would be tough to follow all the action on a drag strip layout without TVs. I know this is the “outdoor” experience but zMax should sort that out before 2024.
What’d you think?!
"grow up" ... Never.
Then I would become a boring, sad, bitter person like a number of people around here.
Sense of humor much?
I have some bad news for you.
Did anyone find it funny and annoying that they kept saying this is the 1st time for SMX and then kept putting up "James Stewart 3 time SMX champion, and Ricky Carmichael 12 time SMX champion" Since it's the 1st time they are not SMX champions.
c'mon you are not doing those posts for a laugh ...its a dig or a put down on them veiled or not
