With all the news of tracks closing and going away, I think this is pretty damn cool.
This September, to mark the 50th Anniversary of Zoar Moto park which has been closed and grown over for decades, a gentleman named Ed Abdo is undertaking a restoration of this unbelievable track for a weekend ride reunion. The facebook page for the event has begun posting pics of the work done so far, and it really is coming back to life. Some of the world's greatest riders have raced this track in its glory years, and I'm proud to claim it as my home track from my youth.
If you can help, it would be cool to throw just a few bucks to the team that is putting in all the work. I wish I could be there to help (I now reside in Florida). Many memories of this amazing venue. I will DEFINITELY be there in September

Back in the day:
Bad ass. Nothing warms my heart more than seeing a racetrack of any type be reopened.
1974 125 GP with a 250 support race , super dusty and dust hung in the bottom of the bowls, great layout! Many pile ups with Marty Smith the fav to win, but I think Tim Hart wins in the blinding dust.
Local Frank Stacy lapped me twice in the support class
A feel good story 👍

Love it!
Great 2-part interview with Ed on a podcast called Benchracers Guild. He talks a little bit about bringing it back towards the end of the part 2. Ed seems like a really cool dude and done a lot within the sport. I wish him all the best!
Bump! This track is epic folks. EPIC!
Cool for sure but it’s not the only track from the 1960,s. That closed and reopened. Denmark Mx had been reopened for a few yrs . It’s a Really fun GP style track with hills & valleys. The track is non ama now with different classes like 150 b/c they had 30 on the gate last race. Dr might b rt on my wrist being broken because it’s been throbbing since 8-6, shoulder I can’t raise my arm, etc. but I went out there & checked it out this week. The new track changes r awesome. Killer flow on 125. Hit a neat floater ovr a hill land turn into a steep hill with a new ramp to float ya ovr the hill & drop ya into a deep drop into a valley. Then there’s new whoops
with deep sand in between. I think Rick Is having 13 races next yr.
I got tickets! Even bought a bike just for this ride.
Whoever gets to ride Zoar is one lucky SOB.
Sending your Can-Am Dinosaur 80 ft., Excruciatingly painful and dangerous. Showing the kids today what "Send It" really means, priceless!
