Just a pure bench racing question, where does his perfect and I mean perfect 450 season rank all time, since let’s say 94 when it became pretty much what it is today. And I’m talking about RVs 13 and Kenny’s 16 for example as well. The competition in those seasons for example was pretty intense.
I think it slots in 3rd behind RCs 2 perfect seasons .
#1
Haven't really witnessed RC's seasons live so this is the best I have ever seen.
Gonna go out on a limb and say he's definitely the 450 Motocross Rookie of the Year.
I'd think it ranks #1 considering it's his first AMA championship aboard a 450 and he Dominated. Other than Eli, most of the top 450 factory riders took a swing at Jett and he defeated all of them. From what I've read, most Pros take awhile to get comfortable on a 450F after they move up from a 250F, Jett made it look easy.

imo behind RC’s , side note , god I wish Kenny wouldn’t let Eli steal those motos at the wick in 16 🙄 cause Kenny 16 outdoors was unreal and didn’t Eli have a outdoor season where he only lost like 4 or 5 motos as well 🤔
Perfect seasons rank: 04, 23, 02, 08.
After RCs 2004 which is far and away the best season ever when you consider all variables. You could realistically make a case for RC 02,03,05 and if not for an injury in 2006 you could have thrown that one in there too. Stew in 08, RV 13 and Kenny 16. Eli’s 18 was his most dominant he had 8 wins and if not for a DNF in Red Bud he would have had 9.
RV had to race a prime Dungey and Stew who was not at his best but it’s still Stew and only dropped 6 motos. The more you think about that season the more that one sticks out for me, at least lately with all the talk lately.
Don't forget Kenny had a fork issue at Glen Helen in moto 1. Who knows what could have been if he won that aswell, the perfect season dream was over there. But Eli also looked unbeatable at Southwick
I think Jett faced the most formidable rider in Chase then any of the other guys. And he's 19. Those 2 things make me want to put him at #1. But it's just impossible for me to not have RC at #1. 04, 23, 02, 08
1- RC, 2 times
2. JS7 - He came off of knee surgery and wasn't expected to decimate the field like he did
3. Jett - A freaking Rookie 22-0
Stamp it, i said what i said!
yea that’s right , forgot about GH
That moto with the fork issue was one of his most ridiculous displays of riding I’ve ever seen. 20 minutes into the race he decided to pass Dungey and drop to a 2:27 then a 2:26 when everyone else is 2:30 plus on the most ridiculous track of all time. And he did that to Ryan Dungey at the 20 minute mark.
