All I know is Hunter should feel very lucky. The kid was coming for him until the Yamaha shit the bed.

and Deegan shouldn't feel lucky Hunter DNF'd not once.. but twice and yet after giving up 50 points he still had a points lead?

Only thing that Hunter has gotten lucky with is the fact that he didn't have broken ribs after being taken out in the first turn pile up.

Check the lap times on the AMA site for the truth.

The transponders don't lie.

Great picture and thanks for sharing. It's great seeing a young fan looking up to these riders.  That's more positive than negative, but I guess others don't see it that way.

I like how the bike would've gently laid down on the side of the jump, but instead he kicks it so it topples over into the banner

That was a disgraceful display of anger, petulance, disrespect and arrogance by Haiden.

It looks like the marshall had to order him to wheel the bike away.

I am more bummed for Hunter, he has had 2 DNF's while Haiden only has had 1

Your half right for once Dono'. I deleted one post of a video that had your panties all in a bunch and you called me inhuman for posting. The rest was all you and your buddies steaming turds stuck in the sewer pipe you blamed on me and the others.

I would be happy to re-post it if you would rather have it that way but I was trying to be nice as I try and keep my Karma up.

Did you watch the video? Not exactly a great role model if you ask me.

Oh no ! a rider showing emotion who's second in points and just dropped an engine midrace. Tje same guys have to be the ones crying about boring and dry podium speeches. One thing I've learned at my time reading vital is there will always be someone whos vagina is chapped over something.

I mean, he really didn't have to kick the bike down the hill. It was a tad childish.

Oh for fucks sake. The bike just let him down at the most crucial time. I’d still be there stomping on that mfer the 2nd moto.

He needs to learn to shift up a gear and maybe his bike won't blow up.

Does that mean the team can stomp him when he crashes out of a win? Asking for a friend...

All jokes aside, it's a terrible way to deal with the situation in public view.

Listening to one of Matthes podcasts about how Haiden went by the HRC trailer while laughing and pointing on Hunters broken bike to start drama, i can say that i am mighty fine with karma sorting his championship hopes out.

He likes riding the golf cart and pointing, like at LL last year when he went to Brandon’s camp with his buddy’s in his cart…

I think anybody who has not been to a national this year, and not had the opportunity to actually listened to him ride won't get this comment.  Anybody who has, will understand - he does seem to ride a gear lower a lot more often than most.  He doesn't go full-Barcia, but definitely seems to be riding higher RPMs than the rest of the riders.  From his speed, whatever he is doing is working for him, but his motors definitely take a beating.

I threw one of those tantrums when I was that age.

And my Dad chewed my ass and made ME push the bike back to the pits AND fix it myself.  Then I had to make a phone call to my sponsor on Monday and apologize.  Made a lasting impression and I quickly learned how to handle disappointment with more grace.

If it was me it would be worse, a 17 year old fighting for an outdoor championship in his rookie year against a 24 year phenom who has been racing a 250 since he was 15.

go ahead and hate on a 17 year old I’ve showed more anger hitting myself in thumb with a hammer. Lighten up if this pisses you off then you must not be passionate about anything in life.

Waiting for the comment “Hunter didn’t throw a fit when his bike let go” Hunter is 24 and he threw a tantrum when robertsons supposedly crossed jumped him at southwick.

Please re-read my earlier post if you really think that was so bad from a 17yr old "kid".

I was standing near the downhill after the woods section at High Point. You could tell when he was about to pop over the tabletop and head down the hill every lap. It was very clear when it was him coming.

With that said, some of y’all need to chill. This is his first DNF from a bike problem. It would be different if this was happening every other race. Heck, Jett and Hunter have both had engines let go in the last year, and are always credited for riding the bike a gear high, smooth, low RPMs. So sometimes, shit just happens.

I think alot of the guys ragging on Deegan would probably be just as mad if their bike blew up while leading the local Vet C race this weekend.

Hes been professional in every interview after saying that happens in racing, in the moment he was a 17 year old who just lost out on a chance at a MX title in his rookie year he was pissed. Hell in the moment Bobby Hewitt might of kicked the bike too, losing out on a championship.

So many sissy’s in this thread. I would kick my first born down the side of a jump if he gave up and may have cost me a $1,000,000 bonus

Is it the best way to handle it, of course not. Do I care, of course not. That fire and emotion Is why he is where he is.

now the riding by the HRC pits and pointing and laughing that is childish and inexcusable.

I have never understood how saying Hayden acts like a punk at times is hating on him. Hell if I go through the drive threw and the kid working is a punk does that mean I'm hating on him? Or is it because the new thing to try to shame the person who calls it like it is just because it doesn't fit an agenda? 1 of our political party calls people Racist if they don't like what you say. So now I don't think he deserves a pass from his behavior but I hope he learns from it. He has the skill set to be a champion time to act like it.

Beautiful performance of frustration and passion.  You can't teach a kid the hunger to win.  Nothing wrong with this.  He's 17, heat of the moment, and I couldn't have done it any better.
