Apparently, you don’t watch much college football. They have power five, they have FCS, they have division two, division, three, and even national champions in junior college football.
+25 is absolutely a vet class. Lots of dudes have kids, mortgages and careers at that age. They don't need to be out there with 16-22 year olds with no brains.
Wanna fix the C class it's simple. Every one of theses races have transponders correct for lap times. If your lap time puts you into the top 60% of the next class your bumped up. Make C classes first early first say 5-6 clases A & B class the very last motos of each moto that way if a C guys needs to get bumped they have time to get. If they don't wanna bump up then they lose thier qualifying spot.
I don’t understand all of the complaining. Seems like complaining for the sake of it.
what’s wrong with having C classes at an amateur event?
what’s wrong with having so many classes?
its an awesome event to go watch and there’s tons of great racing all week.

Most of the complaining are from guys who couldn't make it there anyway. You won't find many of the actual competitors with a problem. It's the absolute best format for a national champs of any sport I am aware of. Is it perfect? Nope, but nothing is.
Listen to Weege's RacerX pod and he does a great review of the classes and makes some great points about the 85 classes.
Why not have a separate Youth National, and just keep all the big bike classes. Have one week for Youth National, then the next week a separate event for the Amateur national.
Dude this. I've never understood calling c class a beginner class but also having a 450 c. If you race a 450 you're not a beginner. If you are a beginner you don't need a 450, A 250 will do you just fine
How about eliminating the A/Pro Sport classes and follow the supercross futures and Mx combine class structure. Have one all-star class that is open to any A/B riders. It would decide who is the best of the best at the ranch since sometimes B riders (Cochran) are faster than A riders. The only negative would be “A” riders might not have a second class to choose to ride. Does the A/Pro Sport really matter when your top guys already have pro deals locked in?? Braswell won the class and didn’t really help him much getting a pro deal.
