I started a thread so all you whiners have a place to cry about it without clogging up the other thread.

You're welcome.

Carry on the bitching and moaning....maybe even let us know how good you woulda done if they didn't let ol' Mike Brown race....I'm sure we got a bunch of potential National Champions here right?

Ironic that you'd whine about hurt Vaginas when you're the one crying about people following the rules.

Sorry again that Mike Brown stole your National Title...

Read slower.

Hating the game, not the players.

Just not a fan of Brown pulling tits n it actually becoming a joke, even to announcers.

I respect Brown and his professional capabilities he's gotten paid to continue to hone. It's laughable he's not riding classes where his skills could actually be tested.

You don't clean his boots do you?

Should Emig, Barry Carsten, Keefer, and Ben Riddle not be allowed to race either? Or just Brown cuz he’s spanking everyone? Lol or make a separate older class with the 10 fast ex pros to race?

All of them fall into the same category.

+25 Vet Pro for anyone who has made a fast 40 in sx or MX.

Starting at +30, only eligible if you've never made fast 40.

Those who made fast 40 as a professional have acquired a skill much greater than most ever will.

Once again for the slow minded ones rubbing the backs of the ex pros, they can race at the various vet nationals.

Again, hating the game, not the players. Besides baker boy factory brown. He's just a sandbagger. Lol

Only thing I question is that Keefer has a current ama pro license, and took a shot at qualifying at a pro national this year. Doesn't seem like he should be able to sign up for a class that isn't pro. I have nothing against him or his son, actually love the story of father/son racing together, but I also think the rules are a little too lenient when it comes to pros/ex-pros racing an age specific non pro class. IMHO the rules should be cleaned up a little and actually give these guys a class to race with competitors that can compete with someone like Jeff Emig (an AMA CHAMPION) or Mike Brown who has raced many nationals and scored points. They seem overqualified for an amateur age limited class. I have nothing against them racing a LL, but to let them make a mockery of guys that work an actual 9-5 and spend their own money to compete is a kick in the teeth to most.

So you think they need a special class for 10 people? Sorry they need full gates at LL and as DC has explained over and over on this subject is to form a class just for ex pros would mean they would have to take another class off the schedule. The 35 and the 45 class are specifically for people that are the 9-5 average joe…

This is the amateur championships. If you raced pro you should be non eligible for anything other than pro class…

They had a 30 year old in the c class a few years ago. That is a more interesting talking point than former pros racing to me. C class is open age so it’s not against the rules but kinda cringy imo.

Full gates huh? Guess DC can't pay the light bill with 5479 other AMATEUR classes that are FULL with people WAITING to be called up if someone can't make it. Your argument is pointless. In fact most of your arguments are so I won't waste my time bud. Make it an exhibition race if you can't fill the gate or tell them to ride a class they are qualified for AKA pro sport. Should absolutely be a time limit or something, Keefer has a pro card from this year. Shouldn't be in a class that a guy spent tons of money and took time off from a real world job to compete with similarly qualified contestants. Keefer makes his money riding dirt bikes. Most of these dudes take vacation and time off of WORK to come here.

Mike Brown 2001 125 MX champion

if anyone’s counting.

Find me one guy that races against these guys that thinks like you…It’s the people that have never raced at LL that have the issue…it’s great entertainment…Just ask the guy that has spent ton’s of money, just like Keefer has, if he has a problem with it…and one last question have you ever been to LL?

I think it’s great that the x Profeshenal,s show to race.  There’s a big target on them.  I,m sure there’s some riders there that wouldn’t mind putting them on the ground over some cheesy medal.  Why do you think Hardly any x pros show up.

I 100% disagree that former Pro’s (or even current pro’s!) should be banned from racing at Loretta’s in AGE specific classes!

I attempted to qualify for LL’s in 2016 when I turned 50, I bought a brand new YZ just for it! (Well thats what I told the wife to green-light the new steed!😝) I did make it through Areas, but I did not qualify through the regional to LL’s, and it was still one of the best moto experiences of my life!
LL’s is an AGE specific class, and as far as I was concerned then or now…IF they meet the AGE related requirements then they CAN & should race! It is NOT Mike Brown or any OTHER fast Vet racer’s fault that he has the skill set to make it to Loretta’s and I do NOT! Rather than banning ANY racer that meets the AGE specific qualification for having TOO much skill (when he was a 19 year old Pro, or a 51 year old that can still haul ass!) I feel that the burden is on ME to not suck and get faster, NOT ban Mike Brown, Jeff Emig, Barry Carsten, Kris Keefer or any ol’ Joe Blow from Kalamazoo that happens to be a shit-ton faster than me on his dirt bike when he is over 40, over 50 Vet etc! Those fast Vet guys got just as much right to race LL’s as I do, and they all gotta put their pants on one leg at a time and qualify same as me… it is NOT their fault the rest of us weekend guys CAN’T haul ass too! 😎 👍❗️

So where does this leave a rider like Daxson Bennick? Currently in 19th place in the 2023 AMA MX Nationals. I believe the plan is for him to race Loretta's as well.

I want to race Mike Brown, Jeff Emig, Jeremy McGrath, and any other ex-pro that wants a piece of me.  If they show up, they better bring their A game or they're going to get their asses kicked! (only half sarcastic)

Seriously, if the race is age based, and skill open, I know what I'm getting myself into.

I'll race them exactly the same as any other race, except I'll probably learn better lines, and become a faster rider for it.

I'm 61.  I believe that my fastest days are ahead of me.  My training habits and nutrition reflect this.

Hopefully, your fastest days are ahead as well.

Speaking of cleaning boots- what ever happen to the guy who was offering free gear cleaning services? I think his specialty was boots (if I’m not mistaken).
