What he said!!! All the photos are great, and the start pic mentioned above with a Cooper holeshot is magazine-cover quality!

I always wondered how are the regulations regarding using Flash while taking photos at events with riders up close. I love those pictures. I used to be into photography in past and love the "strobist" photography, but when I was taking pictures at competitions and especially in somewhat good light conditions I stayed away from flash. Its ok to use it in private sessions, but I felt like it was distracting in competitions. Here where I live they are of course banned from most indoor sports, but allowed outdoors. How is it with SX/MX in US? Question just out of curiosity no hate here. Wink Love the pics!

Hi 2Fmx , good question, In my almost 20 years of taking photos at the races I've never seen any problem using flash either indoor or outdoors for SX or MX, In dark areas of the track I like using it to make the colors pop.

Thanks again guys!  I have a Canon 1DX MKII and a older Canon 1D MK IV.  I was changing settings all day because of some cloudy parts of the day and some parts of the track are in the shade from the trees.

Thanks Austin, here is a better version of Ryder in the first turn.

I remember of you from your NESC days, I'm sure you lapped me a bunch of times.  lol

Excellent! Thanks for sharing Tom! I just got the opportunity to go through your gallery and liked your organization of folders. It was easy to navigate with so many photos. You captured some really good stuff.

Thanks Motox for the kind comments,I've had my gallery hosted on Pbase for almost 20 years, They make it easy  to organize , I probably wouldn't be able to figure out how to set up a real website for my work.

A lot of people just look at the photos in my posts and never go to my photo gallery to see all the photos, The photos I show in my post's on Vital are only the tip of the iceberg.  Smile
