I've got a Cr125r and its been sitting for like 5 weeks at most, is there anything I should do before starting it? I'm worried because I've heard that if a bike sits for to long it could get seized when starting

Start with choke and let it idle for 30 or so seconds?

Start it as you normally would. Choke, low revs not idle, choke off, Work revs up, reach down and feel rad hoses when they are warm jump on and pin it.

Yeah I went on a fishing trip and the bike wasn't beening taking care of so I was just seeing if theres anything I should be worried about

Forgot to mention depending on where it was stored open the airbox and make sure a mouse or chipmunk didnt decide to move in. It happens...

Again shake it up to be sure and mix the fuel in the tank. Some oils will separate with the shit fuel nowaday. Did you think I was lying?

Sat for 5 weeks! Shit man, my 1990 RM250 sat for 10 years with gas in it. (I know, shoot me, it wasn't supposed to go down like that but it did) I pulled the carb, completely cleaned it, drained the tank, cleaned the air filter, put fresh gas in it, slowly pushed the kickstarter through it's stroke two times, full choke, fired first kick. I was amazed. But it's true.

Always drain...crank....and burn off all gas at end of day on 2 strokes...like a weedeater....wish id a known that...might have #gonepro at 38 yrs old...18 most to B to go Pro. Homie?...imposiible...i did it ups...lols...#whentheyhavetoarrestu....#urTheBest...

Just ride it.  5 weeks is nothing.

On 2 strokes, I also turn off the gas, then run the bike out of gas at the end of each ride day.  Since I started doing this 30 years ago, I've never had to rebuild a carburetor, or clean out clogged jets.  Spark plug seldom foul either.
