I'll leave this here...
If Kawasaki doesn't pick Ty Masterpool up for 2024...they are massive idiots. Either one of the current team members could easily be dropped to make room for Masterpool. Both are on the decline.
That is all.
Can't argue with that. But how is he indoors?
Killer ride right now. No Fs given that he's "holding up" Ferrandis.
I have always thought it would be cool for each manufacturer / factory team to have a support rig that lets guys like Masterpool pit out of with their brand bike, a spot to pit, and transporting the bikes to and from rounds while letting the rider handle their personal transportation and training. They aren't held to the same standard as the factory guys, but look good when the rider finishes well.
AC needs to go, he's had more opportunity than most and hasn't delivered and dont think he ever will so maybe its time he was given his walking papers. Potential is great when you are young and on the way up but if you cant stay healthy and deliver results then they will get someone who will.

Why does AC NEED to go? He’s a top 10 guy no matter which way you slice it and he’s extremely popular with the fans. Do you think a top 10 guy doesn’t deserve a factory ride?? I for one wishes everyone making mains consistently could be at least factory supported. Now you wanna start pulling support from guys consistently finishing inside the top 10?? Wow.
It doesn’t even need to be for 24. Give him a bike now. For the rest of the season. Good grief. He puts its it to the factory boys every weekend. I think he has proved himself.
He's not even close to being even the fastest Kawasaki rider, sorry it hurts your feeling but if you don't produce results they will move on with out him. Being a nice guy and great with the fans is nice but he's not paid to be nice, maybe moving to a smaller team or a new team might give him a new spark but he is injury prone so who knows.
The repass on Anderson was impressive.
His injury list is far longer than his win list. Has he finished an entire season since turning pro?
AC vs Ty in sx, who wins? Hint, their initials aren’t TM.
Hrc kroc for years, no. Title, millions
Crashes in SX per rider? Adam vs. Ty?
You can't win if you can't finish.
Yeah he kinda is paid to be nice to the fans. If a team is looking to hire one rider who is typically 6-10th place, do you think they’re gonna go with someone who is popular and a fan favorite or someone who has no popularity at all? Regardless of popularity, the guy is still a top 10 rider. Everyone inside the top 10 should have a factory ride whether you like it or not.
I agree that being nice to the fans should at least be a part of qualifying for a factory contract...but not the main reason. I personally like AC, and think he's a pretty cool guy...but how many seasons has he actually finished a solid top-10 when the smoke cleared? How many seasons has he actually finished at all since leaving PC for Big Green?
And, Jason Anderson has lost as many positions as he's gained banging into people. His SX championship for Husky should have a gigantic asterisk by it. That season was more shallow than than this years outdoor series.
Cant win if you don't ever race.
Very weston pieck like. He will get there if he keeps it up.
You can't win if you don't qualify for the main event.
Point taken.
Pit Row
Ouch
On the other hand, the Masterpool family has brought and given “their all” to our sport and it’s awfully damn nice to see Ty start to get some momentum and race among the fastest in the game.
I “get it”…that we…the fans…get excited about seeing him get in the game and start banging bars “old school” style and I’m every bit as stoked as everyone-else in here to see him chasing the podium; but, he’s got to prove himself “indoors” and he may very likely get that chance during SMX.
Until then? I’ll just be happy with what he’s delivering and remain hopeful that KMC keeps him in good parts…
Is KMC helping him out with "good parts" or just new stock parts to replace what he breaks or wears out? I heard that at the outset of the season, he was basically running a stock KX450F with some suspension tweaks.
I believe they gave him a new engine last race. That’s all I know.
Was his motor, clutch, or body giving out the last few laps, he looked way off the pace.
So…when Ty starts getting beat by ac would you then be saying the same about Ty? Because it seems that their results so far are similar in mx right now. And then when sx rolls around we won’t see Ty in the mains.
Oh yeah, and let’s get rid of Anderson, the guy that won a National last year and 7 sx races
Ty can make a 450 main in SX. I watched him ride SX in March just as I watched him put in motos outdoors and I said on here in multiple threads that he passed the eye test to me and I've seen many riders up close.
He has closed the SX gap he had in theory when I watched him on his practice tracks and trust me, his dad does not make his tracks easy. They were gnarly and to scale supercross tracks.
I agree that he has to prove it, but I would not be shocked to see him make mains if he stays 450 next year for SX at all.
But Supercross bro
Seem biased and bitter…
You must be new to the sport, he was the 2019 250 MX Champion, 2nd overall 450 MX in 2020.
With so many top riders wanting to have a SX only contract, why not hire someone like Ty to race only the US MX series. Simply adjust the contracts accordingly.
Do you really think factory Kawasaki is going to hire someone that can’t ride supercross.
Are you trying to say Ty is a better sx rider? Ok, so who is the best and who is the worst at sx? Anderson, AC and Ty? My original point was, AC (and Anderson) will wipe the floor with Ty in sx so the chance of a factory team hiring a fast outdoor rider over current riders who can wax him in sx is hovering around 0%. Nothing against Ty, he's riding awesome outdoors and it's cool he's getting coverage.
