These podcaster hosts really make it hard sometimes listening to their stuff. After listening to the Windham interview where the host kept interrupting and not letting Windham finish his thought or story is aggravating. Steve from Pulp does it, Jase from Gypsy is the worst, his questions are like 2 paragraph long run on sentences. I like their content and they have great guests, but their interviewing skills are lacking and hard to listen to. Just ask a simple question or ask about a story and let the guest talk or at least finish their thought. Stop interrupting.
I have to agree. I had to stop listening to gypsy because of it. Steve does it but at least hes quick about it most times. GL on whiskey throttle was the worse haha
Nothing worse than listening to a guest telling a great story and the host will interrupt and make the guest lose their train of thought and they never finish their story!
Jace’s questions have me questioning is there a question coming or what. lol when’s he’s talking, the camera will pan to the guest and the blank stare on their face is like, are you going to let me answer or talk? lol
yeah GL was pretty bad too.
Agreed GL really was terrible, just listen to the Doug Henry interview,he didnt let DH answer anything and told his own stories.Had to turn it off
Gypsy Tales is hard to listen to for the reasons above, his questions/rants just go on and on and on never really gets to the point
Ping is good in my opinion,so is Steve
Weege is a pro and JT very articulate
There is one in the UK,admittedley it covers road racing, but hes THE worse podcaster ever, Pushing The Limit Podcast with Danny Buchan, great guests but he talks over them the whole time pretty much, truely awful.
Constant "Sick bro" is what did me in....I can't listen to that guy.
Despite the people in extreme differing camps on him....Ping does the best interviews of anyone IMO.

I agree, I like how Ping usually has a notepad he reads off of with notes and stats on it and goes through the guests career timeline by year.
Winners Take Y'all is good, but the constant talking over each other, especially the guest is annoying AF
It is confusing how great GL was in the booth compared to interviews. Just different I guess. Gypsy sounds stoned.
I like Gypsy Tales because it’s more of a conversation, not an interview. You actually get better conversations than the Pulp show, if you look at it that way.
The hosts obviously have the platform and the facilities to put out content, if they want to tell their own story or own thoughts or stroke their own ego, put out a separate "*insert hosts name*'s thoughts" segment or episode or whatever, obviously with a catchier name.
I know they have to keep the conversation moving and have some fun, but there is a clear line which many cross to make themselves seem more important or insert themselves into things.
Listening to dudes elsewhere like the Koncrete podcast dude (name escapes me right now) or Shawn Ryan from SRS or Mike Ritland from Mike Drop are pro's with plenty to talk about themselves but they are clearly there to tell the guests story that day.
Yeah bro, like fuck bro, I just love having conversations like, fuck bro.
Despite what you may think, you don’t have to reply to every post you disagree on.
For instance, you whine like a bitch over Deegs, I don’t counter post calling you a bitch, I just keep scrolling. See how that works?
I like Gypsy too, but it’s not a conversation if one guy does 98% of the talking. Every once in a while Jase takes a breather lol
i follow mma very closely, i have some friends in the UFC and family that trains however he stated something about a top fighter that was absolutely false and he always does stuff like this though, there's things in moto he thinks he knows, i haven't really listened to his long form stuff,
i really stand what you are saying he does with the long run on questions, following with the guests answer that gets interrupted by him as well...
and honestly, he's from Australia, he tried ripping Matthes and got put in his cage, he was here for 3 years and that's it. I know people can talk on the phone etc , but how much insight can he really have living that far away. sure, has nut hugged up with D. Blair, and Local now for him, Mike Sleeter, but he should stick to his other side of interviewing which is politics and other sports regarding Australian, we don't really need his media over here...imo theres an agenda behind all he says i feel, everytime.
Fuck bro. Like, relax bro, it was a joke, bro.
Yeah gypsy can rant and talk about himself it still doesn't change the fact he gets high profile athletes around the world with different disciplines, these athletes don't have to go on his show but they do and keep coming so obviously they respect the guy.
I appreciate gypsy he is improving he is still too much but he always gets information and insight out of these athletes have not heard before.
So was mine, I was piling on because of another thread. Don’t take it personal.
AC9 is good and smooth, dangerboy on craigs 2nd podcast gave me anxiety lol.
That kind of makes it more annoying to me.
Much like you said, he does have a talent and a way with these big dogs that gets them to open up and talk freely, that is to be respected and I do respect him for it.
It seems to me like he's worked on most people's complaints, so I'm absolutely not gonna shit on the dude.
Some of these pod folks need to understand that we will like and respect them plenty just off of the job they do and how they accommodate their guest, trying to make themselves seem super important or badass actually works against them and makes them seem lamer not cooler.
The last bit is a generalisation not specifically aimed at Jase 👍
Pit Row
I am pretty sure you’re confusing me with someone else, I’ve only posted about Haiden a few times, and it’s far from what I consider “bitching.” I tend to mostly avoid topics about him.
Then I apologize.
Just listened to Ciancarulo's Plugged In with Daniel Blair.
I'm biased as I'm a huge fan of both of those guys.
But it was, as expected, a great job by both of those dudes. Also by the other homie to be honest (I know I recognise him and have seen/heard him before, apologies for drawing a blank on the name, poor effort on my part 👍)
Pulp Show is a totally different format dude. Listen to the hundreds of one on one interviews Steve does if you want to hear a conversation.
or when they relate everything back to jiu jitsu
Ping is the best interviewer for me by far. always engaged in what the guest is saying, steve isnt too bad at interrupting but he always seems to be on the thought train of his next question and not listening 100% to what the guest is saying
Can all you guys with the best ideas please post a link to your podcast?
Saw this floating around instagram
like yeah bro. You are such a G!! You remind me of my best bro that I roll around with on a mat Bro. Or my other best bro who we roll tight with in the party zone chilling. So lit. Awesome
