bike looks great.

the only thing you will miss out on is contingency money at the races. to get it here in canada the bike has to be bought in canada.

That would just be pre-paying our winnings, if we win anything anyways.
as I said..the Savings was measured in thousands.

I have now imported 17 bikes in 3 years from the USA (mostly NY). And dont plan on stopping until the price is the same.
There is no reason for it to me so different. The bikes are made in JAPAN, some shipped to Canada, some Shipped to the USA.
Is it ok for Canada to be $3000 more? F That!!

My point is you if you like "them" as a dealer and want to help "them" save some money and grief keep key details like crate info and export away from the internet.


Times are tough and local dealers will do anything to help their own cause!!

Of course its not a matter of what I think. Its obious ppl will look for the cheapest out there. Money doesen't grow on trees after all. So shops without competitive prices will have a hard time, not only in motorcycles.

I got mine in the crate, and immediatly dissassembled the entire bike..sent the motor and suspension off.....so basically Im going to have 1 1/2 bikes worth of money in one bike.....ahhhh 4 strokes

good thing the bike was a demo and I just have to give it back in June

Kawasaki hasn't paid Amateur contingency in Canada anytime in recent memory, only Zook and Honda.

You either got the deal of the century in the USA or your Canadian dealer is screwed because there isn't 3K difference unless your comparing MSRP in Canada to what you will actually pay in the USA.

I bought 2-09 KX450F's last year and one 09 KX250F. In Spring I bought the 250 and one 450 both at home in Manitoba. The end difference after exchange was $680 per bike with each US dollar costing $1.08 but buying at home got me a pair of nice Monster Energy pit tents, saved me 6 hours of driving round trip and I helped the local dealer who in turn got us a very nice hook up on a parts order.

The second 09 I bought as essentially a left over in late August, my dealer couldn't get anymore 09's and one in MN was blowing them out making the leftover 09 in the US to the new 2010 in Canada a 2k spread.

before you assembled it you needed to take it down and grease the linkage and steering races and maybe some anti seize on some of the bolts.

for sure.... even though we put it together...its getting torn down. The suspention is getting sent out next week.

That stuff happens everyday, I sold motorcycles for 5 years and If the customer wanted it in the crate, they got it in the crate. yes, they are suppost to be assembled at the dealership, but kaw or any of the others don't have time to chase down every little bike that goes out in the crate, Your the only one making a big deal out of it, R-acer just wanted to show off his son's new bike, and your having a stroke about it, If your gonna tattle tale, then do it, you won't get anywhere with it, and if not STFU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

$7100 and $7300 plus taxes. At the time the best I could find down south was $6000 for the 250 and $6400 for the 450. When I picked up the other 450 in August it was $5700.
