One Industries Gear success?

SOmeone mentioned in another topic that One Industries isn't doing too well with their gear... anyone know the scoop on that?

I just ordered 1 set to check sizing then am going to get 3 more. They are only in their second year, and couldnt have picked a worse time to build a gear division, but they are putting out, imo, the best looking gear this year.

I have been a Thor guy for 5 years and this years Thor is just.... hideous. The orange and white looks decent, but the rest, its bad enough it made a loyal customer switch. My fav gear of all time was the Thor Gansta gear, the black and white paisley print with red accents. (on a side note about thor though, ever notice you can buy 2 pants, of the same size, and 1 might fall off your ass at will and the other you have to butter your hips to get into?)

I got a set of Thor, tried it on, then handed it to the kid down the street. I couldn't flex my legs with knee braces on. It was a struggle just to slide the pants over them.

Shame about the ball up with Dungey as that would have changed a lot of things.

They didn't pick the bad boy he was reportedly forced upon them.

I completely understand why they would not choose to continue to spend money on sponsoring him. Doing business with him is huge risk.

Riders don't sell gear, it's the exposure that does it. Riders help a little bit. In all consumers survey the riders endorsements come in 12 or 13th position as far as what impact purchase.
So the Dungey was a bonus but not having him didn't impact their sales. It's all about pricing, look, availability and exposure.

Fit helps, too. Last year was their first-year effort, and it was pretty snug around the waist and hips, and this year's gear is better in that regard.

I think the deal with Dungey and One was important to maybe Dungey, One, Fox, and a handful of message board people. Other than that, I really doubt the rest of the world cared one way or another.

This is kind of bad, but out at one of the tracks today I heard someone refer to the gear that Jason would be wearing this year as (yeah, maybe you guessed it already.) No Ear.

Ouch.

I am wearing the '10 One Ind. gear, and it is really nice gear. A lot better than the Shift gear I was wearing previously. I hope their gear doesn't go the way of Alloy, because their gear is really nice and clean looking.

I bought some of last years stuff, like GuyB said super-snug. I also think they priced a little high for being a first year company

Now that the gear is hitting the clearance racks, you might start seeing more of it at the tracks. I saw Cycle Gear and Rocky Mountain had the combos under $100.

It looks like great stuff, but I 2nd the comment that it was pricey for entering a market that was not really in need of more brands.

I am holding out for UFO gear!

I just switched over to One from TLD after five or so years of wearing their stuff.

Can't wait to try it out this week.

I bought a pair this year, too. After years of having to ride stupid euro-style jerseys, it was about time for me to get something that fit my pants, colour- and stylewise. The pants were really tight, but still comfy. I used No Fear and UFO the years before and they couldn't stand my knee braces. One day of riding and the No Fear pants were done. UFO lastet about a month or so. The One gear is still fine. Plus it looks great. No need for me to switch anytime soon. A success for me.

I just started wearing One's stuff at the end of 09 and really like the way it fits and the looks are top notch! I had a problem with a zipper on a pair of pants so I called them up and they said they had a problem with some zippers and hooked me up with NEW 2010 gear!!!!! The best company i have dealt with ever for gear. They made a fan out of me and I have since purchased a couple other set of gear. Anyone looking to upgrade should definitely give ONE a shot, i think you will be very satisfied!!!
